Special Warfare Operator Evals


EFFECTIVE LEADER: Lead seven Key Leader Engagements with Naval Forces Western Command and Oyster Bay Detachment on Palawan which lead to the development and implementation of three Maritime Security Initiative Projects totaling $1.3 million for FY 2021.

FORENSIC FORESIGHT: Revised a FY 2020 Maritime Security Initiative plan for the Philippines Naval Special Operations Group to provide CT enhancements for Maritime interdiction Operations comprised of a Visit Board Search Seizure equipment list costing over $1 million.

FORCE MULTIPLIER: Provided tactical advice and assistance for four separate units spanning three geographic regions from Philippine National Police Maritime Group (PNP MG) and Naval Special Operations Units (NAVSOUs) in Manila, Palawan, and Zamboanga, expanding partner capacity of 120 Philippine Maritime Special Operators.




Served as Direct Action Warfare Specialist in Operation Desert Storm. While under direct enemy fire, PO1 Sailor displayed exceptional leadership and courage in helping his wounded team members to safety and then continuing to advance toward three high level objectives until they were destroyed.




WHILE SERVING AS ORDINANCE DEPARTMENT HEAD AND PROCTOR FROM XXXX XXXX - XXXX XXXX, HE SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED 500K WORTH OF WEAPONS AND AMMUNITION WITH 100 PERCENT ACCOUNTABILITY. DURING THE SAME COURSE, HE PROCTORED A 32-MAN SNIPER CLASS GIVING 40 HOURS OF HIS PERSONNEL TO MENTOR AND MAINTAIN A POSITIVE LINE OF COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN STUDENTS AND STAFF.




SOC ******* prepared for mobilization, aggressively completing 15 weeks of PRODEV training courses in NSW RSO, NSW Communications, NSW Dive Equipment and Maintenance and NSW HRST/C Master. He completed RSO Static JQRs while conducting ST-17 annual training at Niland and RSO Dynamic JQRs augmenting TRADET instructor staff during Active Duty Troop Land Warfare ULT block. Additionally completed HRST/C Master JQRs during Foal Eagle Exercise.

SOC ******* was instrumental in leading A Squad during 8 weeks of high risk training ensuring that all safety and operational requirements were met without incident. He superbly coordinated and executed Alpha Squad's full integration during a 4 week Land Warfare Unit Level Training (ULT) with Active Duty counterpart SEAL Team ONE / Troop ONE ALPHA / GOLF Platoon's men and ensured progress toward mobilization readiness.




As Task Element Alpha member, he filled a critical role as the Squad Automatic Weapons gunner for Alpha Squad during 4 week Land Warfare Unit Level Training block. SO1 demonstrated better capabilities than his active duty counterparts while integrating with SEAL Team ONE active duty SEAL operators. Through his leadership and expertise as a SAW gunner, he mentored junior SEALs, improving their tactics, training and practices.

Task Element Alpha LPO throughout a five month active duty ULT, resulting in the squad attaining C1 status. By displaying constant maturity and professional expertise gained through multiple combat deployments, he became an enlisted leader for an Active Duty SEAL Troop consisting of XX enlisted and officer SEALs throughout seven blocks of rigorous training. Due to his leadership and diligent planning, prior to and during the squad’s training period, SO1 ******* helped create a highly trained operationally savvy squad that is head and shoulders above their peers.

Task Element (TE) Alpha member SO1 ******* demonstrated expertise as the Subject Matter Expert for TE Alpha, planned and executed several robust training events culminating in 500+ hours of high risk, live fire assault training crucial to the tactical readiness and overall success of TE Alpha during ULT and deployment with zero mishaps.

Task Element (TE) Alpha member he successfully completed rigorous 4-week Unit Level Training Land Warfare, accomplishing full integration with SEAL Team One. As the Lead Medic for TE Alpha he provided valuable instruction in the Tactical Combat Casualty Care block of training. He provided this training to both the reserve and active duty platoons, which greatly enhanced the medical readiness and tactical proficiency of XX individual SEALs.

Task Element Alpha SO1 ******* demonstrated outstanding professionalism throughout Special Operations Urban Combat (SOUC) Unit Level Training. During SOUC, he was integrated with SEAL Team FIVE Foxtrot PLT and was selected as the Vehicle Commander during the FTX week and adeptly led his 5-man squad through multiple tactical scenarios. His SEAL operator skills, leadership and attention to detail were exceptional during all phases of ULT and guaranteed that TE Alpha achieved C1 status.




WHILE ACTING AS A NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE SNIPER SCHOOL VEHICLE AND LEAD FIELD CRAFT INSTRUCTOR DURING THE SNIPER COURSE, TOOK ACCOUNTABILITY FOR 12 VEHICLES FOR STUDENT AND STAFF, MAINTAINING ALL VEHICLES WITH NO MAJOR MISHAPS. DURING THE SAME TIME, PLANNED AND EXECUTED 10 STALKS, PROVIDING MULTIPLE INDIVIDUAL ITERATIONS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE STUDENTS' STALKING.




WHILE SERVING AS NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE SNIPER INSTRUCTOR, PETTY OFFICER SAILOR ACTED AS LEAD VEHICLE REPRESENTATIVE AND LEAD SUPPLY REPRESENTATIVE. DURING HIS TIME AS INSTRUCTOR, HE PRODUCED OVER 200 NSW SNIPERS, 200 EXPERT MARKSMEN, CONDUCTED 250 HOURS OF CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION, AND CONDUCTED HUNDREDS OF LIVE FIRE, HIGH RISK EVOLUTIONS.

-SOC Ohanisain distinguished himself through extraordinary performance while serving in key leadership positions for TE Bravo.

-He served as LPO and NCOIC and ensured that all planning, administrative, logistics, and operational requirements were met for the pre-deployment ULT, resulting in TE Bravo exceeding training requirements.

-Upon arrival of TE senior leadership, SOC Ohanisain was assigned the N1/N2/N4 and N6 departments' CPO position. In this role, he increased the TE's scope of responsibility by establishing relationships with SOCKOR's J2/J3X, Expeditionary Support Command 19's Army Civil Affairs element, and Commander, US Naval Forces Korea's J2 department in order to expand US intelligence efforts on the Korean Peninsula. SOC Ohanisain also requested ammunition and logistics support from the 8th Army in an effort to shorten TE Bravo's supply routes and manpower requirements. Additionally, he initiated the first comprehensive ROK NSW Communications course, leading 15 ROK SEALs through 40 hours of radio procedures, communications mission planning, and execution.

-SOC Ohanisain's innovative efforts greatly enhanced TE Bravo's administrative, intelligence, supply, communications, and training capabilities, resulting in a greater impact on the SOCKOR mission.
