MU3 Moss stepped up and performed admirably outside his NEC as a saxophone instrumentalist when Navy Band Mid-South was critically undermanned in that NEC.




As enlisted conductor of the Combat Center Band, he arranged and coordinated over 100 performances for audiences numbering in excess of 1 million.




AS OPERATIONS ASSISTANT AT THE NAVY’S ONLY FORWARD DEPLOYED BAND, HER DIPLOMACY AND METICULOUS ATTENTION TO DETAIL WERE ESSENTIAL AS SHE ORGANIZED AND LED 20 HIGH VISIBILITY EVENTS FOR A HOST NATION AUDIENCE OF 50,000, WHICH DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE COMMANDER, SEVENTH FLEET’S THEATER SECURITY COOPERATION MISSION.




Petty Officer Thomason is an inspired musician. He led the clarinet section in the featured role on 20 engagements for audiences of over 5,000 patrons.




A dedicated band member, she put in far more practice than her peers and was frequently selected as the soloist for Army Concert Band and Orchestra performances.




His performance as a model section leader, is respected by all in the band.




MU1 Sanderson supervised the transfer of all library music, equipment, and furniture to the new NMBS library and dedicated hundreds of hours of personal time to maintain access to library equipment, enabling the band to maintain its high operational tempo.
