Attributes for the Citation Closing
The third and last part of the citation states "Petty Officer Doe's bold leadership, wise judgment, and complete dedication to duty reflected great credit upon him/her and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service." (or "of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service." for Marines)
The attributes listed in the last sentence of the citation (bold leadership, wise judgment, and complete dedication to duty) are not specified by regulation. Attributes that are appropriate for the individual being recommended for the award should be used.
