As Tire and Wheel Work Center Supervisor, he expertly lead 11 personnel in obtaining full qualification as Tire and Wheel technicians and qualified three Collateral Duty Inspectors which reduced delays and increased production by 30%. Performed 339 repairs and inspections on five different T/M/S wheel assemblies which raised the Ready for Issue rate to 85%.
Petty Officer Irizarry, throughout his tenure, excelled at a variety of jobs. Since his first assignment managing the auxiliary retail outlet, he became fully qualified, passing on his training and experience to others. He trained 17 collateral duty inspectors and 22 Plane Captains in all facets of helicopter maintenance and 25 Sailors in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. He continually set the bar high and led from the front.
