- GIFTED TECHNICHIAN. Through his knowledge and expertise, he enabled the Command to execute 701 sorties and 1106.9 mishap free flight hours, completing 38 special inspections, 101 unscheduled maintenance actions accumulating 304 man hours directly resulting in 39% decrease in the work center workload.
- EXCEPTIONAL LEADER AND MENTOR. He qualified 22 junior Sailors in the egress system check out qualification, two brake riders, four duct divers, three plane captains, one Blue Jacket of the Quarter, two advancements and 12 support equipment licenses. This directly increased the productivity of the command by 13%.
-METICULOUS MANAGER. Tracked and maintained 12 Advanced Skills Management (ASM) Records as Training Petty Officer, logging 54 training lectures and ensuring 100 percent up to date qualification within the work center. Additionally, as Emergency Reclamation team member participated in two drills with the Program Manager with zero noted discrepancies.

-ASTUTE SUPERVISOR. Oversaw the completion of 322 maintenance actions encompassing 1,113 man-hours including the removal and replacement of five RPCS valves, six OBOGS concentrators, seven 56 Day Inspections, eight 112 Day Inspections, and led three 336 Day Inspections as a Team Leader and changed out three explosive devices on the E-2D and C-2A aircraft. Her hard work and dedication resulted in the qualification of 71 Naval Aviators, 66 Naval Flight Officers, and 23 Naval Aircrewmen contributing to 4,863 flight hours and 953 sorties.
-METICULOUS MANAGER. As divisional career counselor, she personally conducted eight c-way applications, seven CDBs, four reenlistments, two TAPS classes, three SRBs, and two enlistment extensions. As training petty officer she provided hands-on training for 23 sailors on Egress/Environmental Systems and logged 129 lectures in ASM.
-COMMAND ORIENTED. Volunteered to set up the command holiday party that resulted in 627 attendees and helped with three MWR food sales raising over 7,000 dollars for the command. She committed 150 off-duty hours at Lil Roar Cat Rescue and fostered three kittens promoting a postive relationship with the community.

-EXCEPTIONAL MANAGER. As a Supervisor of the Environmental and Egress Systems work center, AME1's motivation led to the success of 13 Sailors completing 3,128 total man hours supporting six phase inspections, four ordnance evolutions, seven 84-day inspections, nine 56-day inspections, 13 LOX servicings, eight oxygen system purges, and two aircraft moves. This deck plate leadership has resulted in four Sailors advancing to the next paygrade.
-PROGRAM EXCELLENCE. Designated as Program Manager for the Egress Explosive Check-out program, he managed over 236 sailors accounts. He personally guided 43 Sailors in the receiving of their egress certifications, keeping Squadron's readiness at 100% completion despite the difficulties of COVID-19, having three separate maintenance teams, and high operational tempo.

- LEVEL III AME TECHNICIAN. Hand-selected to work in a WG-10 civilian artisan billet, he completed 106 repair actions totaling 848 man-hours on 12 Type Model Series ejection and escape systems. His efforts resulted in nine Ready-For-Issue assets available to the fleet.
- MAINTENANCE CONTROL. As a qualified Flight Check Controller, he contributed to the completion of nine flights totaling 120 flight hours and supervised the fueling of 213,000 gallons of fuel valued at $660,300. His efforts assisted in the on-time delivery of ten C-2A, E-2C/D, F/18A-G, CH53E and MV-22B fully mission capable aircraft to Navy and Marine Corps operational commands.

Superbly supervised a team of three personnel in the removal and replacement of three complete SMDC kits consisting of more than XXX pieces of ordnance and the de-arming of X long term down aircraft for subsequent shipment to NADEP North Island. -OUTSTANDING SUPERVISOR. Supervised the Maintenance, repair and overhaul of over 300 hydraulic/pneumatic components while assisting all other 500 division work centers for effective CDI coverage. Effectively manages workload around man power shortfalls while mentoring 11 personnel, 4 of which obtained a CDI qualification and ensuring 100% advancement of subordinates for Cycle 215 March 2012.




Petty Officer Gonzales performed 129 aviation tire evolutions and over 100 3M preventative maintenance actions without fail while expeditiously returning vital strike group assets to service.

Selected as Full system QAR in the Quality Assurance Division becasue of his experience and extensive knowledge of the NAMP, CPRG NAMPSOP and compliance practices.

Aggressively pursued QA duties and enforced a zero defect compliance standard. He conducted over 200 audits and directly contributed to our “well above fleet average” assessment during our 2012 CNAF visit.

Demonstrated consistent patience, support and dedication to his sailors while acting as Leading Petty Officer. He personally mentored over 70 personnel through his Command collateral duties as Command Financial Specialist and DAPA.

Coached 35 personnel in the safe and rewarding execution of 800 maintenance actions, 90 sorties and 1,100 flight hours dedicated to conducting aerial surveillance in support of JIATF counter-narcotic trafficking operations in the Fourth Fleet AOR.

He trained and qualified 6 personnel in aviation tire and wheel maintenance and 10 techs in 3m shipboard maintenance increasing the kearsarge's manning flexibility and overall readiness

Trained and qualified 9 collateral duty inspectors and transformed an inexperienced and unmotivated work center into an aggressive and efficient team, increasing productivity by an unprecedented 200%. Her efforts directly contributed to the squadron’s safe launch and recovery of over 500 sorties, achieving a 94% sortie completion rate for the year.




-SOLO SUP. Despite the blatant imbalance of manning and CDIs, he was able to effectively lead his shift of 3 sailors through 318 individual MAFs, including 55 Special Inspections. During the 728 Day Inspection he safely lead a de-arm and arming evolution as the only AME CDQAR on nights.
-COMMAND. While supporting a GTI Nellis Detachment as the CDQAR for days, he facilitated a focus group as the represenitive of the CRT team ensuring sailors' concerns were heard and enforcing equality for all sailors, enhancing unit cohesion, good order and discipline and mission readiness. As Command Motorcycle Saftey Cordinatior, directed motorcycle owners and interested sailors in participating in MSF-Motorcycle BRC and ARC Courses resulting in zero motorcycle related accidents since the command was established.
-MENTOR. Trained and qualified 6 sailors in shop with basic shop S/E increasing productivity within the workcenter. His leadership and knowledge helped three sailors with promotion to the next rank. Trained and qualified 5 sailors outside the workcenter on the utility crane resulting in more efficiency in outside workcenters.
