ADDITIONALLY, HIS AGGRESSIVE MENTORING CONTRIBUTED TO THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF 53 SAILORS DIRECTLY RESULTING IN 11 CDI NOMINATIONS AND 18 ADVANCEMENTS. PETTY OFFICER HARRISON'S PROFESSIONALISM, UNSWERVING DEVOTION TO DUTY, AND EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS CONSOLIDATED AUTOMATED SUPPORT SYSTEM (CASS) TECHNICIAN, FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST DETACHMENT POINT MUGU FROM 19 SEPTEMBER 2009 TO 13 OCTOBER 2012. WHILE SERVING ONBOARD THE USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72), PETTY OFFICER CHRISTOPHER BARNES TROUBLESHOT AND REPAIRED 71 WEAPON REPAIRABLE ASSEMBLIES DURING THE 2011 WESTPAC DEPLOYMENT. HIS EFFORTS LED TO AN IMPRESSIVE 90 PERCENT READY-FOR-ISSUE (RFI) RATE FOR THE WORK CENTER. ADDITIONALLY, AS THE WORK CENTER TRAINING PETTY OFFICER ONBOARD CVN 72, HE MAINTAINED AND UPDATED 21 SAILORS' TRAINING RECORDS, WHICH RESULTED IN AN ON TRACK PROGRAM DURING THE 2011 AVIATION MAINTENANCE INSPECTION. FINALLY, AS A DEDICATED MENTOR, HE FACILITATED NUMEROUS WARFARE TRAINING SESSIONS WHICH LED TO FIVE SAILORS QUALIFYING AS ENLISTED AVIATION WARFARE SPECIALISTS. PETTY OFFICER BARNES' MANAGERIAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE, AND UNSWERVING DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS CONSOLIDATED AUTOMATED SUPPORT SYSTEM (CASS) SUPERVISOR AT FRCMA SITE NORFOLK FROM JULY 2010 TO AUGUST 2014. PETTY OFFICER JOSEPH P. YARIS CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE MANAGED THE PRODUCTION EFFORTS OF 23 SAILORS IN THE COMPLETION OF 1,346 MAINTENANCE ACTIONS, LEADING TO AN IMPRESSIVE 96 PERCENT READY-FOR-ISSUE (RFI) RATE. ADDITIONALLY, HE PERFORMED CRITICAL CASS INTERFACE REPAIRS BY ISOLATING FAULTS TO A SINGLE COMPONENT, RESULTING IN A COST AVOIDANCE OF 86,000 DOLLARS IN FUNDING AND FACILITATING A ONE HUNDRED PERCENT SORTIE COMPLETION RATE IN SUPPORT OF OPERATION NEW DAWN. FINALLY, WHILE DEPLOYED ONBOARD THE USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-65), HE ASSISTED IN QUALIFYING 17 SAILORS EARNING THEIR ENLISTED AVIATION WARFARE SPECIALIST (EAWS) AND ENLISTED SURFACE WARFARE SPECIALIST (ESWS) CERTIFICATIONS. BY HIS EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND INSPIRING DEVOTION TO DUTY, PETTY OFFICER YARIS REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
