PETTY OFFICER SAILOR'S LEADERSHIP OF 23 PERSONNEL WAS THE CORNERSTONE OF A SUCCESSFUL MAINTENANCE PROGRAM AND THE TIMELY COMPLETION OF OVER 10,000 PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS ON 156 PIECES OF MISSION CRITICAL CIVIL ENGINEERING SUPPORT EQUIPMENT VALUED AT OVER $25 MILLION. HE METICULOUSLEY LED PERSONNEL IN DAILY OPERATIONS AND PLANNING, ENSURING ZERO DELAYS TO COURSE CONVENINGS DUE TO EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY. THESE DILIGENT EFFORTS RESULTED IN THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF 220 COURSES OF INSTRUCTION IN SUPPORT OF THE NAVAL CONSTRUCTION TRAINING CENTER. CONSTRUCTION MECHANIC SECOND CLASS DENSMORE'S INSPIRING LEADERSHIP AND PERSONAL INITIATIVE WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN IMPROVING OVERALL MISSION READINESS THROUGHOUT THE SQUADRON. HE INCREASED THE COMMAND 3-M CESE RAR TO 100% AND THE COMMAND'S BOAT RAR TO XX. HE SINGLE-HANDEDLY ACCOMPLISHED 11 MAJOR REPAIRS TO 5 GENERATORS WHILE ELIMINATING DOWN TIME TO EQUIPMENT AND MISSION OPERATIONS FOR NINE CONSECUTIVE MONTHS. BY HIS EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, PETTY OFFICER DENSMORE REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




LEAD MECHANIC IN CHARGE OF CESE VALUED AT OVER 2 MILLION DOLLARS DURING OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM AT CAMP LEATHERNECK/CAMP BASTION AFGHANISTAN. UPON THE DEADLINE OF 2 MISSION CRITICAL MMVs, PETTY OFFICER ERVIN DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED A 24-HOUR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE, KEEPING THIS CRITICAL EQUIPMENT IN SERVICE, AND RESTORING OPERATIONS UNTIL REPLACEMENT PARTS ARRIVED.
