FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS CMAA DEPARTMENT LEADING PETTY OFFICER FOR NAVAL STATION EVERETT FROM APRIL 2017 TO MARCH 2018. PETTY OFFICER WILDER EXPERTLY LED AND MANAGED A STAFF OF 45 SAILORS. HIS PERSONAL COMMITMENT AND SUPERIOR MANPOWER MANAGEMENT SKILLS ENABLED THE DEPARTMENT TO MEET ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF MISSION SUPPORT READINESS WITH MINIMAL MANPOWER. DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH THE CAREER MANAGEMENT OF NAVAL STATION EVERETT'S LIMDU AND PLIM SAILORS, HIS ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS MADE NAVAL STATION EVERETT'S DEPLOYABILITY PROGRAM AMONG THE BEST COORDINATED IN THE NAVY. HE PLAYED A VITAL ROLE IN THE SET UP AND BREAK DOWN OF COMMAND EVENTS TO INCLUDE, 15 RETIREMENTS, FOUR MULTICULTURAL EVENTS, FIVE CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONIES AND 145 AUDITORIUM RESERVATIONS FOR NAVAL STATION EVERETT, NRD SEATTLE AND TENANT COMMANDS. AS A MEMBER OF THE COMMAND ASSESSMENT TEAM, PETTY OFFICER WILDER HELPED IMPROVE THE OVERALL EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT TROUGHOUT THE COMMAND. HE VOLUNTEERED A COMBINED 40 HOURS FOR A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS TO INCLUDE, THE ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY PROGRAM, LAKE STEVENS FOOD BANK, AND THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT. HIS EFFORTS HELPED RAISE OVER $10,000 FOR THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT, PROVIDING SUPPORT TO MANY VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THEIR TIMES OF NEED. PETTY OFFICER WILDER'S MANAGERIAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE, AND UNSWERVING DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS SECURITY OPERATIONS CHIEF PETTY OFFICER, FLEET AIR RECONNAISSANCE SQUADRON THREE, DETACHMENT TRAVIS FROM AUGUST 2012 TO JULY 2015. DEMONSTRATING SUPERB LEADERSHIP AND GUIDANCE, CHIEF PETTY OFFICER BARNES MANAGED THE OPERATION, ADMINISTRATION, AND PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OF MORE THAN 80 NAVAL SECURITY FORCE PERSONNEL RESPONSIBLE FOR SAFEGUARDING JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF TASKED MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR ALERT AIRCRAFT. ADDITIONALLY, HIS EXCEPTIONAL PLANNING AND EXECUTION SKILLS WERE SIGNIFICANT IN SPEARHEADING THE DETACHMENT'S FIRST NEC RATED CAREER PROGRAM ADVISOR BILLET. CHIEF BARNES' SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF DUTY HIGHLIGHTS THE CULMINATION OF 21 YEARS OF HONORABLE AND DEDICATED SERVICE AND FLECTS CREDIT UPON HIM AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
FOR OUTSTANDING MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS NAVY REGION SOUTHEAST REGION COMPONENT COMMAND FORT WORTH ARMED WATCH STANDER PROGRAM MANAGER AND SMALL ARMS MARKSMANSHIP INSTRUCTOR AT NAVREG SE RCC FORT WORTH TEXAS FROM SEPTEMBER 2017 TO AUGUST 2020. SENIOR CHIEF DAWSON WAS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OVERSIGHT AND MANAGEMENT OF 63 ARMED WATCH STANDERS AND CLEARING BARREL SUPERVISORS AT 11 ARMED NAVY OPERATION SUPPORT CENTERS AND 19 ANTI-TERRORISM OFFICERS. HIS RESPONSIBILITY WAS LARGE IN SCOPE AND ENCOMPASSED ANTI-TERRORISM FORCE PROTECTION, M9 HANDGUN, M500 SHOTGUN, AND NON-LETHAL WEAPONS QUALIFICATIONS AND SAFETY STANDARDS. HIS ACTIONS AND EFFORTS DURING THIS PERIOD CONTRIBUTED TO RECOGNITION OF RCC FTW OUT OF SIX RCC ARMED WATCH STANDER PROGRAMS BY CNRF AS A MODEL FOR THE FORCE. BY HIS EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND INSPIRING DEVOTION TO DUTY, SENIOR CHIEF DAWSON REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
