MERITORIOUS SERVICE AS THE HVAC TECHNICIAN LEADING PETTY OFFICER WHILE ASSIGNED TO PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT (PWD), NAPLES ITALY, NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND EUROPE, AFRICA, AND SOUTHWEST ASIA FROM AUGUST 2014 TO OCTOBER 2016. PETTY OFFICER WEINSTEIN PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. AS THE COMMAND HVAC TECHNICIAN, HE CONTRIBUTED 1,234 PRODUCTIVE HOURS TO 345 SERVICE REQUESTS, INCLUDING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE FOR 36 ONE THOUSAND TON AIR CONDITIONING UNITS (A/C), 180 AIR HANDLER UNITS (AHU) AND EMERGENCY AND ROUTINE TROUBLE CALLS. ADDITIONALLY, HE COMPLETED 15 EMERGENCY A/C AND AHU EMERGENCY REPAIRS, SIX SUPPLY VENTILATION FAN RENOVATIONS, 31 EXHAUST FANS REPLACEMENTS, AND TWO BOILER CHECK VALVE REPLACEMENTS. HIS EFFORTS ENSURED THAT CNE-CNA-C6F C4I BUILDING, NSA BEQ, BELLO NAPOLI FOOD COURT, NAVY EXCHANGE, AND SATCOM BUILDING ON THE JFC NATO BASE REMAINED OPERATIONAL IN SUPPORT OF 6,000 MILITARY AND CIVILIAN PERSONNEL ON BOTH NSA NAPLES AND JFC NATO BASES. FINALLY, AS THE CMEO REPRESENTATIVE FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, HE CONDUCTED TRAINING FOR 33 SEABEES ENSURING PWD NAPLES MAINTAINED THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF NAVY CORE VALUES. HIS EFFORTS GATHERED INFORMATION ON ISSUES THAT MAY NEGATIVELY IMPACT THE COMMAND'S WORK ENVIRONMENT AND MITIGATED THEM, SUSTAINING MORALE FOR THE ENTIRE DEPARTMENT. PETTY OFFICER WEINSTEIN'S DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE AS HVAC FIELD LPO AT NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER CORONA DIVISION FROM 12 AUGUST 2015 TO 29 OCTOBER 2015. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER OLIVER'S SUPERIOR TECHNICAL SKILLS LED TO HIS RECOGNITION AS NAVAL WARFARE CENTER CORONA'S SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT ON ALL HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS. HE SUPERVISED A FIVE PERSON JOINT SERVICE TEAM AND IMPLEMENTED A BASE WIDE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM FOR OVER 400 PIECES OF HVAC EQUIPMENT VALUED AT OVER SIX MILLION DOLLARS. HE COMPLETED NUMEROUS SERVICE CALLS AND REPAIRS ON HVAC EQUIPMENT FOR VITAL LABS AND CALIBRATION SPACES THAT HAD A DIRECT IMPACT ON NSWC CORONA'S MISSION READINESS AND SAVED THE NAVY OVER 300,000 DOLLARS. MOREOVER, HE INSTALLED A LIEBERT NETWORKING SYSTEM IN THE SERVER ROOM OF BUILDING 509 THAT RESULTED IN A THIRTY PERCENT ENERGY SAVINGS AND RETURNED THIS NEGLECTED SYSTEM INTO CODE COMPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TEN YEARS. FINALLY, HE DEVELOPED AN EQUIPMENT INVENTORY AND CRITICAL PARTS LIST THAT LED TO A FORTY PERCENT REDUCTION IN DOWN TIME FOR ALL EQUIPMENT. PETTY OFFICER OLIVER’S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS HVAC ASSISTANT SHOP SUPERVISOR, PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SIGONELLA, NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND, EUROPE AFRICA SOUTHWEST ASIA FROM FEBRUARY 2012 TO SEPTEMBER 2014. PETTY OFFICER GALLO CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE LED FIVE MILITARY AND 17 LOCAL NATIONALS IN THE OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIR OF 3,000 PIECES OF HVAC EQUIPMENT VALUED AT MORE THAN NINE MILLION DOLLARS. THEIR EFFORTS LED TO THE CLEANING, INSPECTION, AND RECERTIFICATION OF 66 ONE POINT THREE MILLION BTU AND TWO TWO POINT SEVEN BTU BOILERS, AND THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW GALLEY STEAM GENERATOR VALUED AT MORE THAN TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. ADDITIONALLY, AS PUBLIC WORKS ASSISTANT VEHICLE CORDINATOR, HE MANAGED 46 GOVERNMENT VEHICLES WHICH RESULTED IN A 35 PERCENT DECREASE IN VEHICLE MISHAPS AND REDUCED OPERATIONAL DELAYS TO FLEET MISSIONS AND PM MAINTENANCE. PETTY OFFICER GALLO'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
