AS LEAD COORDINATOR OF THE ANNUAL BOATSWAIN'S MATE HUMAN PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS REVIEW, HE LED THE EFFORT, IMPROVING FLEET ATTENDANCE BY 200 PERCENT. HE IDENTIFIED TRAINING SHORTFALLS AND REDEFINED BM OCCUPATIONAL STANDARDS WHILE UPDATING ALL BM SPECIFIC PQS AND NAVEDTRA 14343. IN ADDITION, HIS EFFORTS AS COMMAND MASTER TRAINING SPECIALIST COORDINATOR RESULTED IN THE TIMELY QUALIFICATION OF OVER 50 PERSONNEL, ENHANCING TRAINING COVERAGE BY 49%. CHIEF LOUDERSTEIN'S UNSWERVING DEDICATION, WISE JUDGMENT, AND COMPLETE DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS INSTRUCTOR, NAVY MEDICINE OPERATIONAL TRAINING CENTER DETACHMENT, SURFACE WARFARE MEDICAL INSTITUTE, SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA FROM AUGUST 2014 TO JULY 2017. CHIEF MARTIN C. LEWIS DELIVERED OVER 1,500 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION TO 288 STUDENTS. WHILE SERVING AS DETACHMENT MASTER TRAINING SPECIALIST COORDINATOR, HE REINVIGORATED THE PROGRAM WHICH RESULTED IN A 30% INCREASE IN QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. ADDITIONALLY, HE WAS SELECTED TO LEAD THE NMOTC INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT TEAM SERVING SIX DETACHMENTS AND SUPPORTING 520 SAILORS. AS THE CPOA PRESIDENT, HIS STRONG COMMAND PRESENCE LED 33 CHIEF PETTY OFFICERS TO INCREASE THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN ALL ASPECTS OF CPO 365. CHIEF LEWIS' UNPRECEDENTED DEDICATION, LEADERSHIP, AND COMPLETE DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
