DEMONSTRATING SUPERIOR LEADERSHIP AND CULINARY EXPERTISE, CS2 ANGELA BOYARDEE LED AND TRAINED 37 DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL AND MULTI-SERVICE PRISONERS IN THE PREPARATION OF OVER 60,000 HIGH QUALITY AND NUTRITIOUS MEALS. SHE MANAGED A 350 LINE ITEM SUBSISTENCE INVENTORY VALUED AT MORE THAN $380,000 THAT SHE MANAGED WITH ZERO DISCREPANCIES WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY LEADING THE DISESTABLISHMENT OF THE GALLEY, INCREASING FACILITY EFFICIENCY BY 90 PERCENT AND SUSTAINING OPERATIONS THROUGH THE TRANSITION TO A LEVEL I FACILITY. AS ASSISTANT POSTAL OFFICER, SHE LED THREE SAILORS IN THE INSPECTION AND PROCESSING OF OVER 600,000 POUNDS OF MAIL. AS GOVERNMENT PURCHASE CARD HOLDER, SHE EFFICIENTLY EVALUATED AND EXECUTED MORE THAN 2,000 CRITICAL PURCHASES AND 27 CONTRACT REQUESTS WORTH $3M DOLLARS FOR BRIG MIRAMAR, BRIG PUGET SOUND, AND BRIG PEARL HARBOR. AS A MEMBER OF THE COMMAND OUTREACH PROGRAM, SHE GREATLY CONTRIBUTED TO COMMAND READINESS. PETTY OFFICER STEVENSON SUPPORTED OVER 200 PRISONERS IN ALL ASPECTS OF INITIAL INTERVIEWING, REHABILITATIVE PROGRAMS, AND PRE-RELEASE PLANS TO FACILITATE THEIR SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION. HE COORDINATED WITH MORE THAN 30 OUTSIDE AGENCIES ON A CONTINUAL BASIS IN ORDER TO HELP THE BRIG ACHIEVE ITS GOAL WHEN STEWARDSHIP WAS CRITICAL. HIS STALWART OUTLOOK AND METICULOUS ATTENTION TO DETAIL WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN ACHIEVING THE 99% COMPLIANCE RATING ON THE BRIG'S FIRST AMERICAN CORRECTIONAL ASSOCIATION ACCREDITATION AUDIT. AS A CORRECTIONS INSTRUCTOR, STAFF SERGEANT CARLSON PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE TRAINING OF APPROXIMATELY 2100 MARINES, AIRMEN, AND SAILORS ATTENDING BASIC CORRECTIONS COURSE, CORRECTIONS COUNSELORS COURSE, AND CORRECTIONAL NAVY ASHORE MOBILE TRAINING LOCATIONS.
