Staff Sergeant Carole L. Bonham distinguished herself by meritorious service as Enlisted Aide to the Commander, United States Forces Japan, Fifth Air Force, Yokota Air Base, Japan from XXXXXXX to XXXXXXX. During this period, Sergeant Bonham expertly planned, prepared and coordinated 29 events and meals supporting the Commander's military and social obligations to include U.S. Ambassadors, four-star generals, the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force and numerous Japanese Self Defense Force senior leaders, bolstering United States-Japanese relations. Her outstanding organizational skill was key during Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff and Air Force Chief of Staff visits with the Ministry of Defense and was lauded by the highest levels of both governments. Additionally, she efficiently managed the 5,470 square foot General Officer Quarters, executed the $37,000 General Officer Housing budget and streamlined two renovation projects, saving more than $15,000. Finally, she facilitated the reception of the Joint Support Staff for Operation TOMODACHI and the Commander of the United States Pacific Command throughout the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts. HE WAS A KEY MEMBER IN THE EXECUTION OF OVER 200 OFFICIAL EVENTS FOR MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND VIP GUESTS AND PROVIDED DIRECT LOGISTICAL AND COMMUNICATION SUPPORT TO THE CNO ON NUMEROUS CONUS TRIPS.
