FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS PROCESSING DEPARTMENT SITE MANAGER, EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT READINESS CENTER NORFOLK, VA, FROM JUNE 2017 TO SEPTEMBER 2018. PETTY OFFICER HALEY DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESSFUL REDEPLOYMENT OF 3,000 SAILORS, FACILITATED COMMAND BRIEFS, AND MANAGED THE TRANSITION, GOALS, AND PLAN FOR SUCCESS PROGRAMS. IN THIS IMPORTANT POSITION, HE NEGOTIATED AND CODIFIED EFFICIENT PROCEDURES WITH THE NAVY PERSONNEL TRANSPORTATION OFFICE WHICH REDUCED ADMINISTRATIVE DELAYS BY 30 PERCENT. IN ADDITION, HE SCHEDULED OVER 1,100 DD-214 APPOINTMENTS AND ENSURED SAILORS' POST DEPLOYMENT ENTITLEMENTS WERE DOCUMENTED. HIS PROFESSIONALISM STRENGTHENED LONG STANDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH ALL COMMAND STAKEHOLDERS AND IMPROVED THE TRANSITION PROCESS FOR DEMOBILIZED SAILORS. BY HIS NOTEWORTHY ACCOMPLISHMENTS, COMMITMENT TO "SAILORS FIRST", AND DEVOTION TO DUTY, PETTY OFFICER HALEY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS ACHIEVEMENT AS EDUCATIONAL SERVICES OFFICER AND COMMAND CAREER COUNSELOR, EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT READINESS CENTER FWD CENT, QATAR FROM AUGUST 2018 TO JULY 2019. DURING THIS PERIOD, CHIEF PETTY OFFICER JON W. ANDERSEN OVERSAW AND FACILITATED 88 CAREER DEVELOPMENT BOARDS, 11 POST 9/11 GI BILL PG-13s, AND 7 TUITION ASSISTANCE APPROVALS. HE ALSO ADMINISTERED 67 NAVY-WIDE ADVANCEMENT EXAMS RESULTING IN 13 ADVANCEMENTS. CHIEF ANDERSEN'S LEADERSHIP AND DEDICATION TO "BRILLIANT ON THE BASICS" AND "LAYING THE KEEL" WAS DEMONSTRATED BY THE SUCCESS OF ECRC FWD CENT'S MENTORSHIP, SPONSORSHIP, AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS WHICH POSITIVELY AFFECTED OVER 200 SAILORS IN THE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY. IN ADDITION, WHILE SERVING AS THE OFFICER IN CHARGE TO ECRC FWD DET BAGRAM, HE SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED THE RECEPTION, STAGING, ONWARD MOVEMENT, AND INTEGRATION OF 47 SAILORS DEPLOYING AND REDEPLOYING TO SUPPORT ONGOING EFFORTS IN AFGHANISTAN, IRAQ, KUWAIT, AND QATAR. BY HIS UNSWERVING DETERMINATION, WISE JUDGEMENT, AND COMPLETE DEDICATION TO DUTY, CHIEF ANDERSEN REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS DETACHMENT LEADING PETTY OFFICER FOR EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT READINESS CENTER FORWARD CENTRAL FROM 10 MAY 2016 TO 15 MAY 2017. AS DETACHMENT LEADING PETTY OFFICER, PETTY OFFICER LYON DEMONSTRATED SUPERIOR LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS WHILE SUPERVISING 13 SAILORS. WITH AN UNMATCHED DEDICATION TO THE MISSION, HER CONTRIBUTIONS LED TO THE FLAWLESS ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING OF OVER 2,000 SAILORS WITHIN THE U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY. HER EXTENSIVE EXPERTISE LED TO THE FLAWLESS EXECUTION OF $13 MILLION IN PAY AND ALLOWANCES FOR A ROLLING 300 INDIVIDUAL AUGMENTEES. FURTHERMORE, AS CPO-365 LEAD, SHE ORGANIZED 35 TRAINING EVOLUTIONS WHILE AIDING AND CONTRIBUTING TO THE PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OF HER PEERS. PETTY OFFICER KALE LED 35 SAILORS, ENSURING THAT ADMINISTRATIVE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS WERE COMPLETED. IN ADDITION, DURING THE 2017 SAN DIEGO REMOTE MOBILIZATION EVENT, SHE COORDINATED AND SCHEDULED BRIEFINGS FOR 144 DEPLOYING RESERVISTS. PETTY OFFICER KALE'S EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PROFESSIONALISM AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

PETTY OFFICER JAN A. CIELO QUICKLY EARNED THE COMMAND'S TRUST BY ACCEPTING DUTY AS ACTING DEPARTMENT HEAD AND IMMEDIATELY IMPROVING ITS OPERATION. SHE EFFICIENTLY PROCESSED 224 SETS OF ORDERS, RESOLVED 19 PAY ISSUES, FACILITATED 36 ADVANCE PAY REQUESTS, AND ARRANGED TRANSPORTATION FOR 177 MOBILIZING SAILORS. HER ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND COORDINATION WITH NAVY MOBILIZATION PROCESSING SITE NORFOLK, ECRC HEADQUARTERS, AND NAVY PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION OFFICE RESULTED IN A 50 PERCENT REDUCTION IN ERRORS AND CONTRIBUTED TO AN UNPRECEDENTED LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MISSION READINESS. PETTY OFFICER CIELO'S EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PROFESSIONALISM AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
