PETTY OFFICER ROBINS' PERSONAL INITIATIVE, PROFESSIONALISM, AND DEDICATION TO DUTY, REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS LEADING PETTY OFFICER IN FUNERAL HONORS DIVISION, OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, NAVAL BASE CHARLESTON, FROM OCTOBER 2017 TO JULY 2019. PETTY OFFICER SULLIVAN SUPERVISED 67 SAILORS IN CONDUCTING OVER 400 FUNERALS AND SIX FULL HONOR SERVICES HONORING OUR NATION'S FALLEN HEROES. HE TRAINED AND QUALIFIED 67 SAILORS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF RIFLE MOVEMENTS, CEREMONIAL COLOR GUARD SUPPORT, AND FUNERAL CEREMONY ETTIQUETTE. PERFORMING HIS COLLATERAL DUTIES WITH THE SAME ATTENTION TO DETAIL AS HIS PRIMARY DUTIES, HE COORDINATED COMMAND INDOCTRINATION FOR MORE THAN 250 NEWLY REPORTING SAILORS, INCREASING PROGRAM AWARENESS. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE SERVING AS ASSISTANT EDUCATION SERVICES OFFICER, PETTY OFFICER SULLIVAN WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE SUCCESSFUL EXECUTION OF ADVANCEMENT EXAMS FOR 2,345 SAILORS TO INCLUDE SITE SET UP FOR 45 TENANT COMMANDS IN TWO GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATIONS. FURTHERMORE, HE DEDICATED OVER 200 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE TO BUILD LASTING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND THE NAVY. PETTY OFFICER SULLIVAN'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, PERSONAL INITIATIVE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS NAVAL STATION MAYPORT FUNERAL DIVISION COORDINATOR AND TRAINING PETTY OFFICER FROM XXXXXXXX TO XXXXXXXX. PETTY OFFICER SECOND CLASS NELSON COORDINATED 1,555 SERVICES WITH NO DISCREPANCIES, MAINTAINING 100 PERCENT MISSION SUCCESS. HE TRAINED OVER 140 DETAIL TEAM MEMBERS FROM SIX TENANT COMMANDS IN THE VARIOUS ASPECTS OF FUNERAL HONOR SERVICES TO INCLUDE RIFLE DETAILS, FLAG FOLDING, AND PRESENTATION OF THE NATIONAL ENSIGN. IN ADDITION, HE PERFORMED POIC DUTIES FOR OVER 150 HONORS REQUESTS TOTALING OVER 1000 HOURS AND ENSURED HIS DETAIL MAINTAINED IMMACULATE UNIFORM APPEARANCE AND CONDUCTED THEMSELVES IN A HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER ACCEPTING NOTHING BUT PERFECTION FOR OUR FALLEN COMRADES. PETTY OFFICER NELSON'S ATTENTION TO DETAIL, PERSONAL INITIATIVE, AND UNSWERVING DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS HOUSING LIAISON OFFICER, FUNERAL HONORS COORDINATOR, AND SENIOR ENLISTED LEADER FOR NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SARATOGA SPRINGS FROM AUGUST 2014 TO OCTOBER 2016. DEMONSTRATING SUPERB MANAGERIAL ABILITY, CHIEF PETTY OFFICER NELSON PERSONALLY MENTORED THE HOUSING STAFF AND PPV MANAGEMENT IN UTILIZING A MONITORING MATRIX WHICH RESULTED IN A 200 PERCENT INCREASE IN MAINTENANCE DISCREPANCY TRACKING. AS FUNERAL HONORS COORDINATOR, HE EXPERTLY MANAGED 11 SAILORS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HONORS FOR 29 FALLEN VETERANS. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE SERVING AS SENIOR ENLISTED LEADER, HE PROVIDED GUIDANCE AND MENTORSHIP FOR 34 JUNIOR SAILORS AWAITING TRANSITION. HIS EFFORTS WERE CRITICAL IN ENSURING QUALITY SUPPORT TO SAILORS AND THEIR FAMILIES PREPARING FOR FLEET OPERATIONS. CHIEF PETTY OFFICER NELSON'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

PETTY OFFICER YAMAGUCCI'S SELFLESS VOLUNTEERISM PROVIDED A POSITIVE IMAGE OF THE NAVY IN THE COMMUNITY WHILE SIGNIFICANTLY CONTRIBUTING TO THE RECOGNITION OF HONORABLE SERVICE BY OUR COUNTRY'S VETERANS. PETTY OFFICER YAMAGUCCI'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVY SERVICE.




PETTY OFFICER NELSON CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. DISPLAYING UNPARALLELED LEADERSHIP AND MANAGERIAL ABILITY, HE LED SEVEN INSTRUCTORS IN SMALL ARMS MARKSMANSHIP TRAINING, RESULTING IN THE QUALIFICATION OF 275 NAVAL BASE KITSAP PERSONNEL AND 40 TENANT COMMANDS THOUGHOUT NAVY REGION NORTHWEST. HE DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO AN IMPECCABLE SAFETY RECORD, AS EVIDENCED BY ZERO SAFETY MISHAPS DURING HIS TENURE AS SMALL ARMS TRAINING CENTER LEADING PETTY OFFICER. AS THE LEADING PETTY OFFICER OF THE FUNERALS HONORS DIVISION, HE ENSURED 363 FUNERALS WERE CARRIED OUT WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT. HIS TEAM PROVIDED COLOR GUARD SERVICES FOR EVENTS, AND A 21 GUN SALUTE FOR THE BATTLE OF MIDWAY CEREMONY. HIS EFFORTS CONTRIBUTED TO ENHANCED RELATIONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AND NAVY REGION NORTHWEST. IN SUPPORT OF NAVAL BASE KITSAP'S MISSION, HE ORGANIZED AND COORDINATED 80 PERSONNEL AS LINE HANDLERS FOR THE ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE OF THREE AIRCRAFT CARRIER MOVEMENTS, ENSURING ALL EVOLUTIONS WERE COMPLETED IN A SAFE MANNER. AS THE TRANSPORTATION INCENTIVE PROGRAM MANAGER, HE OVERSAW A BUDGET OF 98,000 DOLLARS AND TRACKED ALL NAVAL BASE KITSAP VANPOOLS FOR KITSAP COUNTY, ENSURING TIMELY ALLOCATION OF FUNDS AND COMPLIANCE WITH VANPOOL REGULATIONS AS REQUIRED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. PETTY OFFICER NELSON'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, RELENTLESS PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS FUNERAL HONORS COORDINATOR FOR MORE THAN 550 NAVY FULL AND STANDARD HONORS FUNERALS AT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY AND IN NUMEROUS HIGH PROFILE JOINT ARMED FORCES CEREMONIES, THE 57TH PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION PARADE, DIGIFIED TRANSFERS FOR FALLEN SAILORS AT DOVER AFB, CASKET BEARER FOR FORMER CNO ADMIRAL JAMES D. WATKINS AS WELL AS FOR THE REMAINS FOR THE USS MONITER. PETTY OFFICER NELSON WAS THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND THE CASKET BEARERS PLATOON LEADING AND TRAINED 62 JUNIOR GUARDSMEN RESULTING IN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE TO THE MANNING READINESS. CHIEF PETTY OFFICER NELSON'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
