HE PERSONALLY CONDUCTED MORE THAN 20 WORKCENTER SPOT CHECKS, PRESIDED OVER THE HAZMAT BOOTH AT THE MAINTENANCE TRAINING RODEO, SUPERVISED SEVEN EMERGENCY SPILL DRILLS, INSTITUTED A LOCAL HAZMAT/HAZWASTE TRAINING CERTIFICATION, AND ENSURED 100% HAZCOMM INDOC, INCREASING PERSONNEL AWARENESS AND READINESS. ADDITIONALLY, HE DEDICATED 30 HOURS TO THE VITAL AND SUCCESSFUL REPAIR OF AN INCINERATOR SOLENIOD INTERLOCK, SAVING THE NAVY $10,000 IN CONTRACTOR CHARGES. BY HIS EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY, PETTY OFFICER XXXXXX REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
