MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS NURSE PRACTITIONER, OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY DEPARTMENT, U.S. NAVAL HOSPITAL, GUAM, FROM NOVEMBER 2011 TO FEBRUARY 2015. DURING THIS PERIOD, LIEUTENANT COMMANDER KAREN C. CASEY PERFORMED HER DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. IN THIS IMPORTANT POSITION, SHE MANAGED 37 STAFF MEMBERS, ORGANIZED AND SUPPORTED THREE TRAINING COURSES, AND SHARED ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO SUPPORT ENTERPRISE STANDARDIZATION. IN ADDITION, AS DIVISION OFFICER, SHE SPEARHEADED PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS TO ENSURE ONE HUNDRED PERCENT COMPLIANCE WITH MEDICATION RECONCILIATION, POINT OF CARE TESTING, AND CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING NOTIFICATION WHICH RESULTED IN A SUCCESSFUL JOINT COMMISSION SURVEY. FINALLY, SHE DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED A ROBUST SEXUAL ASSAULT FORENSIC EXAMINER PROGRAM THAT BECAME THE STANDARD FLEET WIDE. LIEUTENANT COMMANDER CASEY'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERENCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




Meritorious service while serving as Family Nurse Practitioner, 10th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron, 10th Medical Group, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, from XXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXX. During this period, Lieutenant Colonel Holly Hunter led a seven member Primary Care Home Team, providing care for an over one thousand two hundred patient empanelment, executing more than twelve thousand appointments, supporting the health of members and their families. In addition, she stood up the Airman Medical Readiness Optimization program, decreasing profiles by thirty percent in less than 12 months. Moreover, she discharged the Defense Health Agency's vision by augmenting an Army clinic for six months, enabling twenty five hundred patient encounters. Further, Lieutenant Colonel Hunter supported the Air Force Academy cadet mission during in-processing, providing medical clearances for two thousand four hundred cadets annually. Finally, as a skilled educator and mentor, she devoted over fifteen hundred hours toward training Advanced Practice nurses and cadets in both clinical and officership skills, solidifying a future for PCM services. The distinctive accomplishments of Lieutenant Colonel Hunter reflect credit upon herself, the 10th Medical Group, and the United States Air Force.




Meritorious service while serving as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, 21st Healthcare Operations Squadron, Peterson Schriever Garrison, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado from XXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXX. During this period, Captain Steven Brooke managed the care of more than 25,000 joint military patients and their families. He stood up the Space Operations Command's first Pandemic Response flight, trained 23 staff members, tested 10,000 patients for COVID-19, and innoculated 7,500, sustaining operations and resulting in recognition by the Surgeon General of the United States Space Force. Further, as the Disaster Preparedness medical chief, he led the staff in the inoculation of more than 350 members for the Ready Eagle home response exercise, improving medical readiness by fifty percent. Finally, as the Group Sexual Assault Medical Manager, he provided around the clock response capabilities, ensured one hundred percent responder training, and provided urgent services for 11 victims. The sterling accomplishments of Captain Brooke reflected credit upon himself, the 21st Healthcare Operations Squadron and the United States Air Force.
