Meritorious service while serving as Medical Platoon Sergeant in medical support of the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment during Operation Allies Welcome (OAW) at Camp Atterbury, Indiana Troop Medical Clinic from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. Under Sergeant First Class Able's exceptional leadership, the medical support unit was able to provide care to over 600 service members in less than 30 days. In addition, the medical support unit delivered over 175 COVID-19 vaccines and 200 Influenza vaccines. These sterling accomplishments were achieved despite extremely limited manning due to the COVID pandemic directly impacting unit forces.
Meritorious service while serving as Platoon Sergeant, First Platoon, Company F, Second Battalion, Twenty Fourth Marines, Twenty Third Regiment during Operation Allies Welcome. In this important assignment, Sergeant Buchanan oversaw 1200 Joint Operations Personnel consisting of U.S. Marines, Navy, Army, Department Of Defense, and Department of Homeland Security. For over 100 hours, Sergeant Buchanan served as the Battalion Watch Chief for the 23rd and 24th Regiments Combat Operations Center ensuring a safe and stable environment at Safe Haven Pickett in support of DOD and interagency efforts to resettle the Afghanistan Evacuees. In addition, he organized a variety of rosters, including Close Air Support, Squad Competition, Non-Lethal Course, Lance Corporal Seminar, Corporal Course 1&2, QRF, Combat Marksman Course, MCMAP, Call For Fire, and Land Navigation. Further, he created task organization matrixes ensuring Marines were kept informed and maintained situational awareness. Sergeant Buchanan also instructed the Marines of 1st platoon on various basic infantry skills including light, medium, and heavy machine guns and principles of machine gun employment, the M72 LAAW and AT4 rockets, immediate action drills, MOUT skills including room clearing, hallways, stairs, and exterior movements in an urban setting.
Outstanding achievement while serving as Joint Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System Program Manager, 59th Medical Wing, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, Staff Sergeant Jason S. Campbell prepared and administered contract requirements for the Medical Wing in support of six Groups by analyzing work statements and regulations for over 123 contracts, requiring over $75,000,000 in immediate funding. In addition, he satisfied the Wing's Operation Allied Welcome deployment requirements by leading a team which reviewed and validated 750 training requirements leading to the initiation of two Basic Life Support courses needed to deploy 150 military members in less than 24 hours. Finally, he optimized Training Affiliation Agreements with 50 hospitals and schools, resulting in a 40 percent improvement in training for 67 civilian students.
Meritorious service in support of Operation Allies Welcome while serving as Water and Fuel Systems Maintenance Journeyman, 4th Civil Engineer Squadron, 4th Fighter Wing, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, Staff Sergeant Chase A. Faircloth exceeded requirements and met the U.S. President's number one priority by installing nine Unit Type Code (UTC) kits valued at more than 22 million dollars, to establish the capability for housing 5,000 personnel and ensuring the success of the Department Of Homeland Security and Department Of State missions. In addition, he bridged the appliance gap by developing a preventive maintenance schedule, maintaining 95 washers and dryers in support of Joint Task Force Holloman, negating the need for a $160,000 civilian contract. Finally, his expertise was critical to correct the flooding issues at the Logistic Support Area by installing a pump and drainage system, eliminating a flood crisis for one thousand personnel. The distinctive accomplishments of Staff Sergeant Faircloth reflect credit upon himself, the 4th Fighter Wing, and the United States Air Force.
AS THE HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS COMPANY EXECUTIVE OFFICER, SERGEANT MAJOR JOHNSON MOBILIZED 113 SOLDIERS AND $500,000 WORTH OF EQUIPMENT FROM THE 302D MANEUVER ENHANCEMENT BRIGADE FROM WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, MASSACHUSETTS AND DELIVERED IT TO FORT MCCOY, WISCONSIN IN SUPPORT OF OPERATION ALLIES WELCOME WITH LESS THAN ONE MONTH'S NOTICE. ADDITIONALLY, HE TOOK COMMAND OF THE HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS COMPANY TWO WEEKS INTO THE EVOLVING MISSION AND SET A COURSE FOR SUCCESS.
THIRD SQUAD LEADER, COMPANY F, THIRD PLATOON DURING OPERATION ALLIES WELCOME. CORPORAL KELLISON ENSURED THE SQUAD MAINTAINED THEIR PHYSICAL TRAINING STANDARD, COMBAT READINESS, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, ACCOMPLISHED THE MISSION OF OPERATION ALLIES WELCOME. CORPORAL KELLISON ASSUMED RESPONSIBILITY FOR SEVERAL DUTIES THAT INCLUDED EXTERNAL PATROLLING IN AREAS OF OPERATION AMONG THE THREE SEPARATE VILLAGES, QUICK REACTION FORCE, AND STANDING POSTS. THESE DUTIES WERE OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE TO MAINTAINING GOOD ORDER AND SAFETY OF THE AFGHANS ON FORT PICKETT. HIS ATTENTION TO DETAIL WITH HIS DUTIES WAS ABOVE APPROACH AND SET THE EXAMPLE FOR HIS PEERS AND SUBORDINATES.
