IN ADDITION, AS THE CPR-1 SAFETY OFFICER, OVERSEEING SAFETY PROGRAMS FOR SIX SHIPS DURING MAJOR MAINTENANCE AVAILABILITIES, HE ENFORCED STRICT ADHERENCE TO THE NAVY SAFETY MANUAL, RESULTING IN OVER 360 DAYS WITHOUT ANY CLASS A MISHAPS. LT ARNOLD'S DILIGENT EFFORTS, RESOURCEFULNESS AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS ACHIEVEMENT WHILE SERVING AS OPERATIONS ADVISOR, MILITARY TRANSITION TEAM 0110, II MEF HEADQUARTERS GROUP, MULTINATIONAL FORCE-WEST FROM MAY 2010 TO APRIL 2011 IN SUPPORT OF OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. DURING THIS PERIOD, CAPTAIN SEIMENS EXPERTLY ADVISED OPERATIONS AND PLANNING OFFICERS AT THE BATTALION, BRIGADE, AND DIVISION LEVELS DURING COMBAT OPERATIONS ACROSS DIYALA, AL ANBAR, AND BASRAH PROVINCES, IRAQ. HIS PROFESSIONAL EXAMPLE AND POSITIVE IMPACT WAS DIRECTLY REFLECTED IN THE NOTEWORTHY IMPROVEMENT OF BOTH 1ST BRIGADE, 1ST IRAQI ARMY DIVISION AND 14TH IRAQI ARMY DIVISION, LEADING TO A MORE SECURE IRAQ. WORKING TIRELESS HOURS, CAPTAIN SEIMENS PROVIDED THE CRITICAL COMMAND AND CONTROL LINK BETWEEN IRAQI ARMY UNITS AND COALITION FORCES ENSURING THE IRAQI ARMY HAD ACCESS TO AMERICAN AIR SUPPORT, CASUALTY EVACUATION, RECONNAISSANCE ASSETS, AND ENGINEER SUPPORT DURING COMBAT OPERATIONS WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY KEEPING COALITION FORCE COMMANDERS APPRISED OF BATTLESPACE EVENTS. OPERATIONS OFFICER, NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, COMBAT AIRCRAFT SURVIVABILITY AND THREAT LETHALITY UNIT, FROM 01 OCTOBER 2014 TO 01 OCTOBER 2016. THROUGHOUT THIS PERIOD, COMMANDER DAERSON DISTINGUISHED HIMSELF AS AN OFFICER WITH VISION AND AS A LEADER OF THE HIGHEST CALIBER. HE UTILIZED HIS VAST PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE TO ENSURE THAT OUR JOINT COMBAT ASSESSMENT TEAM (JCAT) MEMBERS WERE FULLY TRAINED IN AIRCRAFT BATTLE DAMAGE ASSESSMENT AND QUALIFIED TO DEPLOY IN THEATER AND RELIEVE THE CURRENTLY DEPLOYED JCAT TEAM. HIS OUTSTANDING MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESSFUL COORDINATION AND TIMELY COMPLETION OF THIS JOINT SERVICE REQUIREMENT. IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS OPERATIONS OFFICER FOR RIVERINE SQUADRON THREE FROM SEPTEMBER 2014 TO AUGUST 2016. LIEUTENANT TAYLOR'S COMMITMENT TO MISSION SUCCESS AND FORCE PROMOTION WAS CLEARLY VALIDATED BY HIS "CRADLE-TO-GRAVE" OPERATIONAL PLANNING IN SUPPORT OF RIVERINE GLOBAL FORCE MANAGEMENT TASKING DURING A FORCE MERGER THAT MADE THE SQUADRON THE ONLY EMPLOYABLE FORCE. HIS EFFORTS WERE CREDITED AS THE REASON NOT ONE OF THE MISSIONS INITITIATED DURING HIS TENURE FAILED TO BE FULLY STAFFED AND ISSUED TO THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE ORDERS BOOK, AN ACCOMPLISHMENT NEVER BEFORE ACHIEVED BY A RIVERINE SQUADRON OPERATIONS OFFICER. LIEUTENANT TAYLOR'S MANAGERIAL ABILITY WAS MATCHED BY HIS SOUND TACTICAL PLANNING, AS DEMONSTRATED WHEN HE WAS DETAILED TO COMMAND A SYNTHETIC 2,700 PERSON, 89 COMBAT CRAFT, 10 COAST GUARD CUTTER FORCE DURING EXERCISE ULCHI FREEDOM GUARDIAN. DURING THIS EXERCISE, HE IDENTIFIED FATAL SHORTFALLS IN THE EXISTING WARPLAN AND WORKED CLOSELY WITH BATTLE STAFF TO REDEPLOY ASSETS IN LINE WITH THE REVISED CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS AND INCLUDE THEM IN FUTURE WARPLANS. HIS PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
OPERATIONS OFFICER AT COMMANDER, NAVAL AIR FORCE DETACHMENT ONE ZERO NINE FOUR, PACIFIC FROM APRIL 2015 TO SEPTEMBER 2018. LIEUTENANT COMMANDER LARSON'S EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP, UNFAILING COMITTMENT TO HIS SHIPMATES, AND TREMENDOUS RELIABILITY WERE CRUCIAL TO THE COMMAND'S SUCCESS AND ABILITY TO DELIVER SUPERIOR OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR OVER 3 YEARS. TRIPLE-HATTED AS OPERATIONS, ADMIN, AND TRAINING OFFICER, LCDR LARSON'S DEDICATION RESOUNDED THROUGHOUT THE UNIT. HIS EFFORTS RESULTED IN A UNIT THAT, EVEN UNDER SHIFTING DEMANDS AND PERSONNEL SHORTAGES, RAN SMOOTHLY AND WITHOUT FAIL, AND MET EVERY OPERATIONAL COMMITMENT TASKED BY COMMANDER NAVAL AIR FORCES. THE ACTIONS OF LIEUTENANT COMMANDER LARSON REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
OPERATIONS OFFICER FOR PATROL MAINTENANCE SUPPORT TEAMS TWO AND SIX FROM JUNE 2014 TO JULY 2017. DEMONSTRATING EXCEPTIONAL DILIGENCE AND INITIATIVE, PETTY OFFICER GAROTTI'S HARD CHARGING AND CAN-DO ATTITUDE WAS A KEY COMPONENT IN THE SUBMISSION AND TRACKING OF OVER 1000 WORK CANDIDATES AND ORDERING OVER $500,000 IN REPAIR PARTS DURING CARE TAKER CREW RESPONSIBILITIES ONBOARD USS TORNADO AND ZEPHYR. ADDITIONALLY, HE VOLUNTEERED OVER 100 OFF-DUTY HOURS TO THE JEB LITTLE CREEK USO AND HAMPTON ROADS SHARE PROGRAM. PETTY OFFICER GAROTTI'S SELFLESS DEVOTION, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
LIEUTENANT COMMANDER NAZARENO DISTINGUISHED HIMSELF IN THE PERFORMANCE OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE UNITED STATES AS OFFICER-IN-CHARGE OF 603D AIR AND SPACE OPERATIONS CENTER (AOC) JOINT INTERFACE CONTROL CENTER NAVY DETACHMENT FROM MARCH 2013 TO JUNE 2013. DURING THIS PERIOD, THE OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL SKILL, LEADERSHIP, AND CEASELESS EFFORTS OF LIEUTENANT COMMANDER NAZARENO ENABLED THE 603D AOC JOINT INTERFACE CONTROL CENTER TO EXPEDITIOUSLY SUPPORT JOINT AND COMBINED FORCES IN EUCOM AND AFRICOM AORs IN KEY OPERATIONAL MISSIONS INCLUDING OPERATIONS ODYSSEY DAWN, UNIFIED PROTECTOR, NEW DAWN, SHARP SENTRY, AND ATLANTIC SENTRY. HIS TENACITY TOWARD AN INTEGRATED UNITY OF EFFORT LED TO MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE EFFECTIVENESS AND SUCCESS OF AIR FORCE PERSONNEL RECOVERY CONTROL CENTER, AEGIS BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENSE (BMD), AND JOINT LINK COORDINATION TRAINING, TO INCLUDE ALLIED LINK CAPABILITIES TO OVER 30 SHIPS, 166 AIRCRAFT, AND OVER 3,000 SORTIES. THE RELENTLESS EFFORTS OF LIEUTENANT COMMANDER NAZARENO REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
