PETTY OFFICER SAULTER DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL INITIATIVE BY QUALIFYING EARLY FOR POSITIONS THAT WERE CRITICAL TO THE SUCCESS OF ALL AIR OPERATIONS RESULTING IN A VIRTUAL 20 PERCENT INCREASE IN MANNING. HER TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND OPERATIONAL EXPERTISE OF ALL AIRCRAFT ONBOARD PROVED TO BE A MAJOR SOURCE OF VITAL INFORMATION RESOURCE SOUGHT OUT BY LEADERS AND PEERS ALIKE WHICH LED TO HER SELECTION AS SOQ AND PLANE CAPTAIN OF THE MONTH. HER CAN-DO ATTITUDE AND SUPERLATIVE EFFORTS WERE ESSENTIAL IN CONDUCTING MORE THAN 665 EVOLUTION SPOT CHECKS DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS, SUPERVISING 1,345 EQUIPMENT INSPECTIONS, AND OVER 160 MAINTENANCE ACTIONS AND/OR REPAIRS ON THE EQUIPMENT, ALL RESULTING IN ZERO MISHAPS AND 100 PERCENT MISSION READINESS CAPABILITY. BY NEVER FAILING TO FULFIL HER DUTIES, IN ALL WEATHER AND UNDER THE MOST AUSTERE OF CIRCUMSTANCES, PETTY OFFICER SAULTER'S PROFESSIONALISM AND DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
Meritorious service as Line Division Plane Captain and Low Observable night check supervisor in Strike Fighter Squadron 101 from XXXXXXXXX to XXXXX XXXX. Her dedication and relentless work ethic led to her becoming the first qualified F-35C plane captain and her leadership was critical to the qualification of 12 F-35C plane captains, 48 brake riders, 38 fuel pit crew members, 55 duct divers, 19 move directors, and 210 support equipment licenses. In addition, her superior performance set the standard for all future F-35C plane captains and reinforced the success of the Line Division. During commander Naval Air Forces Aviation Maintenance inspection, Petty Officer Sykes' exceptional professionalism, unrelenting perseverance and loyal devotion to duty reflected credit upon herself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
WHILE SERVING AS WORKCENTER 200 TECHNICIAN AND PLANE CAPTAIN FROM XXXX 2008 TO XXXX 2011, PETTY OFFICER STEVENS DEMONSTRATED EXECEPTIONAL INITIATIVE AND SUPERB ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN THE COMPLETION OF 121 DAILY AND TURNAROUND INSPECTIONS. HIS OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL EXPERTISE FACILITATED THE COMPLETION OF 222 MAINTENANCE ACTIONS IN LESS THAN 1555 MAN HOURS AND CONTRIBUTED TO THE SQUADRON'S 7,000 FLIGHT HOURS. BY HIS EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY, AD2 STEVENS REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
