PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT WHILE SERVING AS QUALITY ASSURANCE REPRESENTATIVE AND RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER ONBOARD USS JOHN C. STENNIS FROM FEBRUARY 2019 TO OCTOBER 2019. AS 400/500/600 DIVISION QAR, PETTY OFFICER JOSHUA DAVIS COMPLETED 129 INSPECTIONS ON T-56, T-700 AND T-64 ENGINES, 120 CDQAR/CDI MONITORS, MONITORED 48 PROGRAMS, AND COMPLETED 136 WORK CENTER AUDITS. ADDITIONALLY, HE QUALIFIED 59 HYDRAULIC CONTAMINATION AND 53 TIRE AND WHEEL FLEET READY TECHNICIANS, ENABLING THE COMMAND TO EXCEED A NINETY PERCENT RFI RATE. MOREOVER, PETTY OFFICER DAVIS PROVIDED OJT TO 15 NEWLY ASSIGNED QUALITY ASSURANCE REPRESENTATIVES, ACHIEVING PRIMARY QUALIFICATION AND SEVEN ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, ENSURING QUALITY ASSURANCE DIVISION'S SUSTAINED SUPPORT OF 24 HOUR OPERATIONS. FINALLY, AS RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER, HE REVIEWED THE RADIATION SAFETY PROGRAM AND IMPLEMENTED NEW ELECTRONIC PERSONAL DOSIMETERS, IMPROVING PERSONNEL SAFETY AND RESULTING IN USS JOHN C. STENNIS RECEIVING ZERO DISCREPANCIES DURING BOTH THE 2018 AVIATION MAINTENANCE INSPECTION AND RADIOLOGICAL AFFAIRS SUPPORT PROGRAM INSPECTION. PETTY OFFICER DAVIS' SUPERIOR PROFESSIONALISM, SELFLESS DEVOTION TO DUTY AND UNWAVERING LOYALTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
Technical Sergeant George C. Talmadge distinguished himself in the performance of outstanding service to the United States as Bioenvironmental Engineering Element NCOIC, 86th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, 86th Air Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany from 22 July 2014 to 12 August 18. During this period, as Radiation Safety Officer, Sergeant Talmadge managed the squadron radioactive material permit for assets valued at more than twenty six thousand dollars and aced a no-notice inspection by the Air Force Inspection Agency. In addition, he stood-up the 86th Construction and Training Squadron's Radiation Safety Program and performed Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Compliance Assessment Management Program evaluations, directly supporting the 2017 USAFE Clinic of the Year Award. Moreover, his radiation protection assessments alleviated both U.S. and German community concerns and contributed to the 2017 USAFE Best Clinic of the Year Award. Further, Sergeant Talmadge ensured accountability for over two hundred thousand dollars of emergency response equipment and maintained one hundred percent readiness training compliance, helping attain an Excellent rating for the 2017 Health Services Inspection. Finally, as Base Respiratory Protection Manger, he evaluated 16 work centers, provided respirator training for over 150 workers, protecting more than 530 Airmen across the installation. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Technical Sergeant Talmadge reflect great credit upon himself, the 86th Aerospace Medicine Squadron and the United States Air Force.
