IN ADDITION, HE REVISED THE GUARD INDOCTRINATION CLASS, REDUCING THE REQUIRED TIME FOR NEW ACCESSION TRAINING FROM THREE WEEKS TO A 10-DAY QUALIFICATION COURSE, RESULTING IN 55 STATIC POST SENTRY QUALIFICATIONS. MOREOVER, AS LIMITED AREA SUPERVISOR, HE MANAGED THE CONDUCT AND TACTICAL EMPLOYMENT OF 63 SAILORS AND MARINES SUPPORTING 20 STATIC POSTS AND FIVE REACTIONARY ELEMENTS IN A LEVEL III RESTRICTED AREA, RESULTING IN THE COMPLETION OF TWO STRATEGIC ASSET MOVEMENTS WITHOUT INCIDENT. FINALLY, AS THE COMMAND'S LEAD CONVOY ROUTE SECURITY SUPERVISOR AND SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT, HE LED AND DIRECTED 12 SAILORS AND TWO MILITARY WORKING DOG TEAMS DURING 35 STRATEGIC ASSET CONVOYS. HIS EXPERTISE WAS ESSENTIAL IN THE COMPLETION OF TWO GRADED CONVOY OPERATIONS DURING THE 2021 NAVY TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY INSPECTION, CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMAND BEING RECOGNIZED AS "THE BEST SECURITY FOR AN INSPECTION IN TEN YEARS." COSTELLO CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HIS PROVEN TRAINING METHODS PRODUCED QUALIFIED WATCH STANDERS RANGING FROM NEW ASCENSION SAILORS TO PETTY OFFICERS ABOVE HIS CURRENT PAY GRADE. DURING HIS TIME AS TRAINING AND OPERATIONS LEAD PETTY OFFICER, HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR 34 LA STATIC POST SENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, 34 M4 AND M9 PQS QUALIFICATIONS, AND 34 ARMS, AMMUNITION, AND EXPLOSIVE CERTIFICATIONS. ADDITIONALLY, AS CONVOY ROUTE SECURITY SUPERVISOR, HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISING 13 SAILORS AND TWO MILITARY WORKING DOG TEAMS THROUGHOUT FOUR STRATEGIC WEAPONS CONVOY MOVEMENTS IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY TO OR EXIT FROM THE STRATEGIC WEAPONS CONVOY ROUTE. FURTHER, AS THE LIMITED AREA WATCH COMMANDER, HE LED AND SUPERVISED 23 SAILORS TASKED WITH CONTROLLING ACCESS IN AND OUT OF THE SWFLANT LIMITED AREA, EFFICIENTLY COMPLETED FOUR STRATEGIC ASSET MOVEMENTS AND THREE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY MOVEMENTS, ISSUED FIVE SECURITY VIOLATIONS, AND MAINTAINED ACCOUNTABILITY OF 750,000 DOLLARS IN MISSION ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT. FINALLY, MCSFBN KINGS BAY, COMPANY A, WAS AWARDED THE OVERALL HIGHEST SCORE DURING THE NAVY TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY INSPECTION WHICH WAS A DIRECT REFLECTION OF HIS OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP. PETTY OFFICER HILDEBRANDT DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL TECHNICAL ABILITY AND SUPERB LEADERSHIP WHILE LEADING 44 SAILORS IN ALL ASPECTS OF STRATEGIC ASSET SECURITY WITHIN A LEVEL THREE WATERFRONT RESTRICTED AREA. AS WATERFRONT RESTRICTED AREA SUPERVISOR, HE LED THE TACTICAL DEPLOYMENT OF 90 SAILORS AND MARINES, RESPONSIBLE FOR 31 STATIC POSTS, 11 COMBAT VEHICLES, AND SIX HARBOR SECURITY BOATS, ENSURING THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION'S MOST VALUABLE ASSETS AND MAINTAINING READINESS. HIS DEDICATION TO THE MISSION DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A DEMANDING AND HIGH PROFILE NAVAL TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY INSPECTION AND TWO STRATEGIC ARMS REDUCTION TREATY ON-SITE INSPECTIONS.
