HIS EXPERTISE WAS DEMONSTRATED BY THE MANUFACTURE OF A TACHOMETER SHAFT FOR ACU-1'S ENGINE TEST STAND WHICH SAVED OVER $10,000 IN REPLACEMENT COSTS AND FACILITATED THE SUCCESS OF ACU-1'S ENGINE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM. DEMONSTRATING UNCOMMON COMMITMENT TO FLEET READINESS, HE ASSISTED IN THE COORDINATION AND PERFORMANCE OF OVER 40 DIVING OPERATIONS FOR BOROSCOPING THE SHAFT AND STERN TUBE BEARING STAVES, INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF HULL BLANKS AND FLANGES, AS WELL AS REPAIRS OF TOWED ARRAY PINCH ROLLERS ENABLING THE SHOP TO MEET ALL PRODUCTION GOALS AND ALLOWED ALL SHIPS TO MEET OPERATIONAL COMMITMENTS. HE REFURBISHED OVER 400 LASHING STRAPS AND 15 WEAPONS SHIPPING DOLLIES, WHICH CONTRIBUTED TO THE CONTINUED SUCCESS OF PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD AND SUPPORTING THE MISSION, KEEPING THE FLEET FIT TO FIGHT. SUPPORTING THE NATION'S ANTI-TERRORISM MISSION, HE TOOK CUSTODY AND CARE OF 250 OF THE THEATER'S MOST IDEOLOGICAL EXTREME AND HIGH RISKED DETAINEES WHILE SERVING AS A GUARD FORCE MEMBER WHILE ON INDIVIDUAL AUGMENTEE IN CUBA.
