Communications Watch Officer Evals


As Communications Watch Officer, lead 15 sailors in the operation and maintenance of all external shipboard voice and data communications for USS AMERICA and five embarked staffs, ensuring mission-critical connectivity across nine radio suites supporting 2,075 onboard personnel.




**RELIABLE-FLEXIBLE-MORALE BOOSTING SAILOR**

-MISSION DRIVEN. As a Communications Watch Officer, he stood the watch immediately after arriving to COMDESRON FIFTEEN, helping maintain two communications circuits, twenty-two cryptographic line items and training four local element users and also ensuring that ten ships assigned to COMDESRON FIFTEEN and five ships TAD to the DESRON maintain communications compliance and readiness by sending out five feisty weasels and participated in about 400 minutes worth of trouble calls.
-FLEXIBLE SAILOR. In addition to his roles as Communications Watch Officer, he has also helped out with Assistant Battle Watch Captain duties, sending out 48 messages for the command, including the drafting of fifteen overtime and low fuel endorsements, while additionally helping the ABWCs catch back up to speed when they returned from the 24-2 deployment.
-MORALE BOOSTER. Immediately upon his arrival to COMDESRON FIFTEEN, he has participated in or helped organize pizza sales, burrito sales and merchandise sales for the MWR, significantly boosting the morale of all who enter the cave and raising approximately $400 for the command.

IT1 supervised the day-to-day operation and maintenance of BENFOLD's six network enclaves and five radio suites, ensuring maximum readiness and minimal interruption for BENFOLD's Communications.




Maritime Communication Watch Officer. Member revitalized this watch station through superb leadership and indisputable dedication to personnel and mission. IT1 spearheaded the development and implementation of the MCWO Personal Qualification Standard by implementing a Level of Knowledge test bank and comprehensive study guides. He helped baseline C3F N6 Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices, streamlining operations and customer service.




Special Intelligence Communication Watch Officer expertly managed his team overseeing the operation 13 Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) communication circuits. His efforts ensured maximum availability of SCI Voice, Data, and Secure phone services to Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, U.S. Naval Forces Africa, Allied Joint Force Command Naples, and Commander US Navy Sixth Fleet.




Served as Communication Watch Officer onboard FACSFAC SAN DIEGO from January 2015 to May 2017. She perfomed her duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. She ensured all voice and data circuits were operational with minimal downtime in support of FACSFAC's daily operations and special exercises. As subject matter expert, she diligently prepared FACSFAC's EKMS account in support of Navy COR Audit team inspections, directly contributing to a 100% pass rate.
