Underwater Construction Technician (UCT) Evals
Project supervisor and Leading Petty Officer for Underwater Construction Team One. Guaranteed the successful completion of two priority missions and one sustainment dive exercise. Oversaw the movement of over $7M of TOA, CESE, and Class IV material throughout EUCOM and AFRICOM. Supervised 104 high risk dives of over 2600 minutes of bottom time. Trained 14 members, leading to 14 dive, 5 demolition, and two SEABEE Combat Warfare Qualifications. Increased overall command readiness and developed partner nation relationships within the SIXTH FLEET Area of Operations.
-TRUSTED DIVER. Performed 587 minutes of bottom time during MDS Company 2-4 Optimized Fleet Response Plan, resulting in the successful completion of their Basic Phase. During Expeditionary Salvage Skills training, he completed 233 minutes of underwater cutting and welding operations, resulting in the successful salvage of a replica SH-60 helicopter.
LASER FOCUS: Oversaw the completion of the system operation verification test of the newly implemented nine-meter rigid inflatable boat communication system. Resulted in the successful completion of Underwater Construction Team Two command and control exercise and increased capability to fulfil future missions.
Assisted UCT (Underwater Construction Team) with the site survey and planning of future laydown yard, floating pier, and boat ramp large enough to accommodate the CCM foot print onboard the ROK Navy base in Chinhea Korea. Location has fiscal benefits because it doesn't require crane support or additional security.
Petty Officer excelled in conducting ORIs for subordinate units deployed to Okinawa, Japan, and Guam. His efforts ensured deployed units met FMC (Full Mission Capable) standards while conducting embark operations outside of homeport for training AORs. UCT1's continuous, unrelenting efforts as an instructor seamlessly transitioned to operational environments and proved to be a significant contributing factor to the overall success of forward deployed NMCB and UCT deployments.
CWO3 provided technical representation support and quality assurance diving in support of the FY15 CNRFE NSA DG Fleet Mooring Underwater Inspection conducted by UCT TWO. He authored a mooring inspection report ahead of schedule and single handedly kept the North Koreans above the 38th parallel. CWO3 conducted a TOA realignment for the Ocean Construction Equipment Inventory and got rid of 20 years of accumulated and obsolete equipment.
Instructor for R75 division. Petty Officer's devotion to mission excellence was key to the success of field training exercises for four battalions and two UCT teams and facilitated instruction for four high risk machine gun courses including live fire evolutions.
