Crane Signalman Evaluations


Seaman was a key player in 11 Sea and Anchor evolutions and 12 small boat operations resulting in zero mishaps. As crane signalman, he oversaw 229 crane lifts of over 250,000 LBS of stores, repair parts, and equipment for both MILCREW and CIVMAR.




Served as a deck seaman onboard the ARCO. As a crane signalman, he executed 66 critical and 771 non-critical crane lifts including critical screw components. While being a line driver, BMSN helped with the safe docking and undocking of two torpedo weapon retrievers and a nuclear powered submarine. Also served as a member of Naval Base Point Loma's auxilary Security Force, ensuring the security and enforcement of all Naval Base Point Loma to include 500 base personnel, 30 buildings and six significant national security assets.




As a deck seaman at the ARCO, he trained seven sailors in the 3M program, while ensuring the completion of over 200 preventive and corrective maintenance actions. He was a vital asset during the docking and undocking of two nuclear powered submarines, torpedo weapon retiever, and the research platform flip. He helped preserve 45,000 square feet on port and starboard wingwall, drydock area, and basin. Led the refurbishing of the quarterdeck gear saving the ARCO $3,000 dollars. He has been a part of 150 crane evolutions as a rigger helping the dock remove keel blocks to prepare for the surface craft overhaul.
