Detainee Operations Evals
During his 9-month tenure as Detainee Administration NCOIC, he organized and executed the destruction and preservation of over 35,000 SECRET classified documents.
As Detainee Operations NCOIC, he personally conducted 15 Unlawful Enemy Combatant captures and transfers, trained 86 JTF Paladin personnel in detainee capture and handling procedures, and supervised 34 personnel standing over 80 hours of detainee watches.
Assigned to Task Group Trident 49 USN Detainee Operations. He took it upon himself to take charge of ordering 760 MREs and getting ice and Gatorade for the coolers for 135 sailors everyday while traing at Ft Bliss.
Detainee Holding Unit (DHU) Detainee Information Mangagement Systems (DIMS) operator at the Detention Facility in Parawan (DFIP) training facility on Camp Westbrook, New Mexico. Processed over 200 routine and emergency detainee movement orders which directly contributed to accomplishment of the detainee operations mission of custody and control. Assisted in assuring the completion of 10 daily calls through the course of eight days of high stress training which impacted the safe and courteous control of 16 detainees.
Volunteered to organize muster, bus assignment, food and water supplies for 132 personnel for Fundamental Patrol, Force Cell Extraction, and Counterinsergency training evolutions resulting in zero short falls and 100 percent completion. Created watch bill consisting of 119 personnel spread across seven areas of responsibility, ensuring Group 49 provided a collective and efficient cleaning effort prior to IStop. Responsible for 40 personnel receiving instruction on Blue Force Tracker while acting as Assistant Petty Officer in Charge for the event. Coordinated the completion of NIPER/SIPER request forms for seven Sailors aiding command's forward movements in training of Detainee Operations.
While conducting detainee operations in Bagram, Afghanistan, BM2 successfully obtained contraband from detainee before it entered the premises.
While deployed as an Individual Augmentee, he showed outstanding leadership abilities while supervising 30 U.S. Navy and Afghan National Army personnel in the care, custody, and control of 224 high risk detainees and maintaining accountability of 600 sensitive items. He also created an aggressive quality assurance process to ensure all reports were submitted in a timely manner and error free.
As CURTS' CMAA, he worked with the Coast Guard organizing and constructing a detainee brig and watch bills for CURTS' detainee operations. His efforts led to the successful transfer and holding of over 20 detainees who were turned over to DEA Agents and the collection of over 340 kilos of cocaine.
