As NAVCENT Movement Center Watch Officer, LS1 Courtney was instrumental in the successful completion of more than 200 Distinguished Visitor flights coordinated within the Intra Theatre Air Request System, and with with Headquarters, 2nd Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery.
Working closely with the Theater Patient Movement Center-Europe and America, he strategically planned the movement and continued care for over 3,500 wounded, ill and injured members and their family members. He ensured accurate data entries and records keeping, which helped optimize coding and billing processes for over 10,000 in-patient encounters. Petty Officer Virginia tracked and maintained 200 patients, reporting vital information to patent commands and support activities.
Bahrain beach detachment LPO. Coordinated over 300 personnel movements and medevacs in support of ships in 5th Fleet AOR during critical carrier gap. His strong knowledge of personnel matters, mentoring of junior transient sailors, and willingness to be on call 24 hours a day was crucial to the success of the mission.
