Senior Enlisted Leader (Medical) Evaluations
Senior Enlisted Leader, Navy Medicine Operational Training Command Detachment, Surface Warfare Medical Institute (SWMI), San Diego, California. Master Chief led an unprecedented and sustained leadership culture change which embraced the philosophy of character, competence, and connectedness. Under his leadership, SWMI Defense Organizational Climate Survey organizational effectiveness climate factors average increased from 69 percent to 94 percent. As one of three initial epicenters in the United States for the COVID-19 outbreak, SWMI pioneered the use of virtual technologies which enabled the schoolhouse to execute training virtually for 70 percent of the Independent Duty Corpsman curriculum which mitigated risks of student outbreaks and prevented stoppage to a critical NEC. Staff selected for advancement included nine Senior Chief Petty Officers, seven Chief Petty Officers, two Petty Officer First Classes, and two Petty Officer Second Classes via the Meritorious Advancement Program and 42 Accelerated Student advancements. Awarded the Navy Surgeon's Health Promotion and Wellness Award (Blue H) Gold and Navy's Retention award for two consecutive years. Led two incident-free Chief Petty Officer initiation seasons and safeguarded the training of 13 prospective Chief Petty Officers and 30 Chief Petty Officers.
Led six Senior Enlisted Leaders through the organization of 156 Sailors and 19 Airmen across the U.S. in support of COVID relief efforts and world-wide operations support resulting in zero discrepancies while handling more than 750,000 pounds of mission essential cargo, 1,500 passengers, 50,000 pounds of mail, and 88 aircraft. Mentorship produced one JCOM, one NCM, five NAMS, seven FLOCS, one NOSC JSOQ, one SOQ, nine advancements and two board eligible FCPOs.
