MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS ANTI SUBMARINE/SURFACE TACTICAL AIR CONTROLLER (ASTAC) ONBOARD USS ROBERT J WALKER IN SUPPORT OF THE STRIKE GROUP'S MAJOR COMBAT DEPLOYMENT FROM APRIL 2021 THROUGH NOVEMBER 2022. AS ASTAC, PETTY OFFICER MARCUS BEYER CONTROLLED THE OPERATIONS OF THREE ORGANIC SH-60R HELICOPTERS AND FIVE SH-60F HELICOPTERS, SUPPORTING MORE THAN 900 FLIGHT HOURS. IN ADDITION, HE PROVIDED SURFACE SEARCH AND COORDINATION FOR THE ENTIRE STRIKE GROUP, IDENTIFYING AND PRIORITIZING THE PROSECUTION OF OVER ONE THOUSAND SURFACE VESSELS TRANSITING THE REGION. MOREOVER, HE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TEN ASW EXERCISES, DURING WHICH HE EFFICIENTLY EMPLOYED ALL AIRCRAFT UNDER HIS CONTROL AND APPLIED ALL APPROPRIATE TACTICS WHILE PROSECUTING OPFOR SUBMARINES. PETTY OFFICER BEYER'S DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE TACTICAL AIR CONTROLLER (ASTAC) LEADING CHIEF PETTY OFFICER AND INSTRUCTOR AT FLEET ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE TRAINING CENTER FROM SEPTEMBER 2012 TO OCTOBER 2015. CHIEF DAVIS EXPERTLY LED A DIVISION OF 17 SAILORS IN THE DELIVERY OF TACTICAL AIR CONTROL INSTRUCTION TO 388 STUDENTS. HE REVISED THE ASTAC COURSE MASTER SCHEDULE, CORRECTING SCHEDULE INEFFICIENCIES TO MAXIMIZE FLEET TRAINING CAPABILITY WITH MINIMAL INSTRUCTOR MANNING. ADDITIONALLY, HIS IMPROVEMENTS TO THE ASTAC PREPARATORY COURSE RESULTED IN A 35 PERCENT DECREASE IN ASTAC ACADEMIC ATTRITION OVER A TWO YEAR PERIOD. CHIEF PETTY OFFICER DAVIS' INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS LEADING CHIEF PETTY OFFICER AND COMMAND FITNESS LEADER AT FLEET ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE TRAINING CENTER FROM APRIL 2014 TO MARCH 2017. DURING THIS PERIOD, CHIEF PETTY OFFICER COX DEMONSTRATED IMPRESSIVE LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE WHILE MANAGING 19 INSTRUCTORS AND GRADUATING 337 QUALIFIED TACTICAL AIR CONTROLLERS. ADDITIONALLY, HIS EXPERTISE IN TACTICS AND AIRCRAFT PROCEDURES WERE VITAL TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE UPDATED ASTAC INTELLIGENT TRAINING AID (AITA) PROGRAM, IMPROVING TASK QUALIFICATION BY FIFTY PERCENT. FURTHER, AS COMMAND FITNESS LEADER HE PREPARED FOR AND EXECUTED TWO PFA CYCLES FOR 275 PERSONNEL, ACHIEVING AN UNPRECEDENTED 100% PASS RATE. CHIEF PETTY OFFICER COX'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

AS ASTAC, PETTY OFFICER KINLEY SAFELY CONTROLLED THE OPERATIONS OF THREE ORGANIC SH-60B SIKORSKY SEAHAWK HELICOPTERS, FIVE SH-60F SIKORSKY OCEANHAWK HELICOPTERS, AND THREE P-3 ORION AIRCRAFT TOTALING OVER 900 SAFE FLIGHT HOURS. IN ADDITION, HE PROVIDED SURFACE SEARCH AND COORDINATION FOR THE ENTIRE STRIKE GROUP, IDENTIFYING AND PRIORITIZING THE PROSECUTION OF OVER 1,000 SURFACE VESSELS TRANSITTING THE REGION. FURTHER, HE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN SUCESSFULLY COMPLETING 10 ASW EXERCISES, DURING WHICH HE EFFICIENTLY EMPLOYED ALL AIRCRAFT UNDER HIS CONTROL AND APPLIED ALL TACTICS AND TRAINING WHILE PROSECUTING OPFOR SUBMARINES, ENSURING COMDESRON TWO STAFF AND CREW REMAINED EFFECTIVE IN ALL ASW DUTIES. PETTY OFFICER KINLEY'S DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS SENIOR ASTAC, SENIOR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, AND LEADING CHIEF PETTY OFFICER, OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, OI DIVISION, USS HALSEY DDG-97, FROM MARCH 2020 TO APRIL 2023. DURING THIS PERIOD, CHIEF PETTY OFFICER LOPEZ LED AND MANAGED 43 SAILORS ACROSS HIS DIVISION TO INCLUDE FOUR ASTACS, SUSTAINING COMBAT INFORMATION CENTER READINESS. ADDITIONALLY, HIS EFFORTS CONTRIBUTED TO COMMAND WIDE CERTIFICATIONS IN NAVAL SURFACE FIRE SUPPORT, ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE, ANTI-SURFACE WARFARE, ANTI-AIR WARFARE AND STRIKE WARFARE THROUGH THREE FULL TRAINING CYCLES AND THREE DEPLOYMENTS. FINALLY, HIS INTRUSIVE MENTORSHIP PRODUCED 21 ADVANCEMENTS, 15 ESWS QUALIFICATIONS, 7 EAWS QUALIFICATIONS, 3 QUALIFIED ASTACS, AND 2 QUALIFIED AICS, KEEPING THE SHIP MISSION READY. CHIEF PETTY OFFICER LOPEZ'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AS OI DIVISION LEADING PETTY OFFICER, WORK CENTER SUPERVISOR, ELECTRONIC KEY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EKMS) LOCAL ELEMENT AND COMBAT INFORMATION CENTER (CIC) WATCH SUPERVISOR ONBOARD USS PORT ROYAL (CG 73) FROM MARCH 2014 TO MAY 2014. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER JOAN KENNEDY PERFORMED HER DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. AS LEADING ANTI-SURFACE/SUBSURFACE TACTICAL AIR CONTROLLER (ASTAC), SHE CONTROLLED 40 HOURS OF FLIGHT DURING RIM OF PACIFIC (RIMPAC) AND TGEX AND TRAINED A LEVEL-I ASTAC TO ACHIEVE LEVEL II QUALIFICATION. ADDITIONALLY, SHE TRAINED 27 SAILORS IN CIC BASICS AND ASSISTED FIVE JUNIOR OFFICERS WITH CIC WATCH OFFICER QUALIFICATION, FOUR SAILORS WITH ESWS QUALIFICATION, AND PRODUCED ONE WARRIOR OF THE WEEK. PETTY OFFICER KENNEDY'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
