ADDITIONALLY, SHE WAS ATTACHED TO THE AIRFIELD DAMAGE REPAIR DETACHMENT, WHERE SHE PROVIDED EXPERT MEDICAL CARE TO 10 SEABEES AND 25 MARINES DURING THE EXERCISE. FURTHER, SHE CONDUCTED 15 WATER SANITATION TESTS, TAUGHT FIVE SCW CLASSES AND ADMINISTERED TWO SCW BOARDS. BY HER EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY, PETTY OFFICER WEYLAND REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS ACHIEVEMENT AS MEDICAL DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE AND PERSONNEL OFFICER FOR NAVAL OPERATIONAL SUPPORT CENTER, AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, FROM 14 SEPTEMBER 2009 TO 12 OCTOBER 2013. DURING THIS PERIOD, CHIEF RODRIGUEZ CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HER DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER, PROVIDING DEDICATED LEADERSHIP AND MENTORING TO 175 RESERVISTS AND SEVEN FULL TIME SUPPORT SAILORS OF ALL PAY GRADES. HER EFFORTS DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO 85 PERCENT AND HIGHER MEDICAL AND DENTAL READINESS FOR 182 SAILORS. DUE TO THIS READINESS LEVEL, 30 SAILORS WERE FLAWLESSLY MOBILIZED WHILE SHE SIMULTANEOUSLY SUSTAINED AN UNPRECEDENTED 98 PERCENT RETENTION RATE. BY HER NOTEWORTHY ACCOMPLISHMENTS, PERSERVANCE, AND DEVOTION TO DUTY, CHIEF PETTY OFFICER RODRIGUEZ REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS SENIOR MEDICAL DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE AND LEADING PETTY OFFICER FOR 1ST BATTALION, 12TH MARINES FROM NOVEMBER 2011 TO FEBRUARY 2013. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER PARRIS PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE COORDINATED AND MANAGED 15 MEDICAL AND DENTAL STAND DOWNS RESULTING IN ELEVATING THE BATTALION'S MEDICAL READINESS TO 90 PERCENT. IN ADDITION, HIS EFFORTS LED TO A GRADE OF MISSION CAPABLE DURING THE FY12 COMMANDING GENERAL READINESS INSPECTION. MOREOVER, HE ENSURED ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ACCOUNTABILITY FOR 140,000 DOLLARS WORTH OF MEDICAL GEAR DURING PRE AND POST LIMITED TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS (LTI) FOR SPARTAN FURY 12.0, 12.1, AND 13.1. FINALLY, HE AUTHORED AND CONDUCTED ONE HUNDRED HOURS OF ADVANCEMENT AND MARINE CORP TRAINING THAT LED TO THE PROMOTION OF THREE SAILORS AND TWO RECEIVING THEIR FLEET MARINE FORCE WARFARE DEVICE. PETTY OFFICER PARRIS'S SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES HIGHLIGHTS THE CULMINATION OF 20 YEARS OF HONORABLE AND DEDICATED SERVICE AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
