AS PRIMARY DIVISIONAL DCPO, PETTY OFFICER SMITH COMPLETED 23 MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND CONDUCTED THREE SPOTCHECKS WITH THE AFLOAT TRAINING GROUP INSPECTORS AND WAS RECOGNIZED BY THE INSPECTOR TEAM FOR THE "BEST SPOT CHECK" ONBOARD. PETTY OFFICER SMITH'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HER DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS RADAR SUPERVISOR AT NAVAL AIR STATION, JOINT RESERVE BASE, NEW ORLEANS FROM MAY 2016 TO MAY 2020. PETTY OFFICER KOTTKE DEMONSTRATED SUPERB PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL INITIATIVE WHILE SKILLFULLY LEADING A TEAM OF 48 CONTROLLERS THROUGH THE SAFE COMPLETION OF 85,092 MISHAP-FREE OPERATIONS INCLUDING 5,954 GROUND CONTROL APPROACHES. ADDITIONALLY, AS AN ON-THE-JOB TRAINING INSTRUCTOR, SHE CONTRIBUTED 18,052 HOURS OF TRAINING WHICH RESULTED IN 543 QUALIFICATIONS. PETTY OFFICER KOTTKE'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




As an Air Traffic Controller, AC2 Scheifele strived for in-rate qualifications reaching the impressive qualification of AATCC Approach (SUPERVISOR) controller. Skyrocketing to the top he was directly responsible for the safe and positive control of over 2,000 flights and the qualification of 13 personnel at 16 different control positions. His contribution to the 2 AATCC Team trainers during his tenure on board resulted in resounding scores of XX and XX.

- Usually designated to a First Class he flawlessly performed the taxing duties as OC Divisions Damage Control Petty Officer superbly keeping the material condition of readiness of the division's Damage Control maintenance items and spaces.

- His attention to detail led to the accurate account of OC divions OPTAR and steady supplies of materials as Repair Parts Petty Officer.

- Training and contributing to the Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist (EAWS) Program and the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) Program, Petty Officer Scheifele is responsible for over 60 new sailors EAWS and 20 ESWS qualification.




FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS FLIGHT SCHEDULING NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER, HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS SQUADRON, MARINE CORPS AIR STATION FUTENMA, OKINAWA, JAPAN, FROM MARCH 2007 TO MAY 2010. DURING THIS PERIOD, CORPORAL LEWIS PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. THROUGH HIS EXCEPTIONAL WORK ETHIC AND MANAGERIAL SKILLS, HE WAS INSTRUMENTAL TO THE SUCCESS OF FUTENMA FLIGHT OPERATIONS. HE EXPERTLY COORDINATED THE TIMELY AND ACCURATE APPROVAL OF OVER 146 DIPLOMATIC CLEARANCES TO 29 COUNTRIES SUPPORTING THIRD MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCES THEATER SECURITY COOPERATION EFFORTS FOR CREWS FLYING OVER 6,225 FLIGHT HOURS, LIFTING 5,014 PASSENGERS AND 217,014 POUNDS OF CARGO. HIS EFFORTS WERE PIVOTAL TO THE EXECUTION OF 27, 490 NAUTICAL MILE FLIGHT FROM OKINAWA, JAPAN TO SAN ANGELO, TEXAS AND BACK TO SUPPORT A UC-12F UPGRADE. CORPORAL LEWIS' PERSEVERANCE AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT WHILE SERVING AS TACTICAL AIR CONTROL CENTER SUPERVISOR AND WEAPONS AND TACTICS INSTRUCTOR FOR TACTICAL AIR CONTROL SQUADRON TWO TWO FROM JULY XXXX TO JULY XXXX. AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLMAN FIRST CLASS VARNEY CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HIS EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY WAS ESSENTIAL IN THE QUALIFICATION OF SEVEN SAILORS AS TACTICAL AIR CONTROL CENTER SUPERVISORS AND THIRTEEN TACTICAL AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS FOR TACRON TWO TWO, PROVIDING SUPPORT AND DIRECTION TO BATARG AND KSG ARG AIR OPERATIONS WHILE OPERATING IN C6F AND C5F AREAS OF OPERATION. HIS TACTICAL KNOWLEDGE IMPROVED THE SQUADRON’S EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM TO 100 PERCENT QUALIFICATION. PETTY OFFICER VARNEY'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




AS AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL FACILITY OFFICER FOR THE MAYORAL CELL, ASSIGNED TO ISA AIR BASE, BAHRAIN FROM OCTOBER XXXX TO SEPTEMBER XXXX. HIS COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION PLAN ON LOCAL PROCEDURES RESULTED IN 47 PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING 18 SUPERVISORY DESIGNATIONS FOR 22 CONTROLLERS, RESULTING IN OVER 5000 MISHAP FREE FLIGHTS. CHIEF SELLARS' LEADERSHIP AND UNWAVERING DEDICATION WERE DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ONLY BI-NATIONAL AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL FACILITY IN BAHRAIN'S AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY. HE ESTABLISHED COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE AIRCRAFT VIA TELEPHONE ROUTED THROUGH WICOMICO COUNTY 911 EMERGENCY PHONE SWITCHBOARD AND PROVIDED AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SERVICE WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY MAINTAINING SITUATIONAL AWARENESS OF OTHER CRITICAL TASKS. WITH AC2 REYNOLD'S AID, THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT SALISBURY-OCEAN CITY WICOMICO REGIONAL AIRPORT. PETTY OFFICER REYNOLD'S PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

PETTY OFFICER CAESAR'S MASTERFUL PERFORMANCE, SUPERB LEADERSHIP, AND TECHNICAL ACUMEN CONTRIBUTED TO TRAWING FIVE'S ABILITY TO EXECUTE OVER 3 MILLION FLIGHT OPERATIONS YEILDING OVER 1,100 NEW AVIATORS. IN ADDITION, AS ASSISTANT TRAINING CHIEF AND FACILITY WATCH SUPERVISOR, HE REVISED A FLAWED TRAINING PROGRAM WHICH RESULTED IN ADMINISTERING 345 NEW PROFESSIONAL EXAMS AND UPDATING 23 TRAINING GUIDES ENSURING 100% COMPLIANCE WITH COMMUNITY STANDARDS. HIS STEADFAST COMMITMENT TO SAILOR DEVELOPMENT RESULTED IN SAILORS ACHIEVING OVER 200 QUALIFICATIONS, 12 SAILORS OF THE QUARTER, AND OVER 30 PERCENT ADVANCEMENT. AS CPO 365 TRAINING COORDINDATOR, HE ORGANIZED AND FACILITATED OVER 200 DEVELOPMENTAL TRAINING HOURS FOR 44 FIRST CLASS PETTY OFFICERS.
