DEMONSTRATING OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, HE EXPERTLY LED 5 SAILORS IN THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF 444 MAINTENANCE ACTIONS REQUIRING OVER 2000 MAN HOURS RESULTING IN OVER 99 PERCENT OF THE IWO JIMA'S EXTENSIVE VENTILATION SYSTEM BEING READY FOR USE. SERVING AS THE DAMAGE CONTROL PETTY OFFICER FOR THE VENTILATION TEAM, HE SUPERVISED VENTILATION TEAM MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE SHIP RESULTING IN A GRADE OF "ON TRACK" DURING WORK-UP CYCLE 2020. AS AIRCREW SURVIVAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN AND AVIATION LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS (ALSS) COLLATERAL DUTY INSPECTOR, HIS KEEN ATTENTION TO DETAIL WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN CONSISTENTLY MAINTAINING ALL ALSS EQUIPMENT FOR 45 PILOTS, 28 NAVAL AIRCREWMAN AND SEVEN MH-60R AIRCRAFT WHILE ENSURING FOUR READILY DEPLOYABLE DETACHMENTS WERE AT 100 PERCENT READINESS IN AN EXTREMELY FAST PACE FORWARD DEPLOYED SEVENTH FLEET AOR. HIS EXTRAORDINARY FORESIGHT AND DEDICATION TO THE MISSION PROVED TO BE THE DRIVING FORCE IN THE COMPLETION OF OVER 2,900 MAINTENANCE ACTIONS AND AN IMPRESSIVE GRADE OF ON TRACK DURING THE LAST FOUR COMHSMWINGPAC INSPECTIONS.
