ADDITIONALLY, HE OVERSAW THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE FOR 26 ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT ITEMS, EXTENDING EQUIPMENT SERVICE LIFE AND ENSURING A ONE HUNDRED PERCENT MISSION READY POSTURE FOR COMSIXTHFLEET TASKINGS. BY HIS NOTEWORTHY ACCOMPLISHMENTS, PERSEVERANCE, AND DEVOTION TO DUTY, PETTY OFFICER COMBS REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS CAMP MAINTENANCE CONSTRUCTION ELECTRICIAN FOR JOINT TASK FORCE ALI AL SALEM AIR BASE SITE ZERO FROM 01 FEBRUARY 2022 TO 01 AUGUST 2022. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER PERALTA COMPLETED 21 WORK ORDERS IN SCHEDULED AND UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND INVENTORIED AND SECURED OVER 250,000 DOLLARS WORTH OF ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES. IN ADDITION, HE INSTALLED APPROXIMATELY 300 SQUARE METERS OF SNIPER NETTING AROUND THE PERIMETER, INCREASING THE CAMP'S SECURITY. FINALLY, IN SUPPORT OF JTF, CE1 PERALTA DEPLOYED TO QATAR WHERE HE DILIGENTLY WORKED 144 MAN HOURS AND COMPLETED TWO STRUCTURES, WHICH ESTABLISHED A SECURE STORAGE CAPABILITY FOR HIGH VALUE AND CLASSIFIED COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME. DURING THIS PERIOD, STAFF SERGEANT BARROGA PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER, PROVIDING EXPEDITIOUS LOGISTICAL SUPPORT FOR OVER 19,000 MARINES, 800 INDIVIDUAL AUGMENTS, JOINT FORCES, AND AFGHAN NATIONAL ARMY AND AFGHAN NATIONAL POLICE. HIS ABILITY TO FOSTER RELATIONSHIPS WITH JOINT COMMANDS SUCH AS TASK FORCE RUSHMORE, THE INTERNATIONAL SECURITY ASSISTANCE FORCE JOINT COMMAND, AND U.S. FORCES AFGHANISTAN GREATLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESS OF THE MARCENT COORDINATION ELEMENT IN AFGHANISTAN. PETTY OFFICER VALDEZ PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN A HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL AND EXEMPLARY MANNER. WORKING OUTSIDE HIS RATE, HE SUPERVISED 23 STAFF PERSONNEL IN FIVE DEPARTMENTS, AS WELL AS 3,000 TRANSIENT PERSONNEL AWAITING FURTHER ASSIGNMENTS. IN ADDITION, AS LIMITED DUTY COORDINATOR HE FLAWLESSLY TRACKED MORE THAN 200 TEMPORARY DUTY PERSONNEL THROUGH THE LIMITED DUTY PROCESS, FULFILLING TPU'S UNIQUE MISSION IN A TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. PETTY OFFICER LANNING CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. DISPLAYING SUPERIOR RATING KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILL, HE DELIVERED OVER 1,700 HOURS OF QUALITY INSTRUCTION TO 389 TRI-SERVICE STUDENTS ON BASIC ELECTRICAL THEORY, STREET LIGHT AND TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS, AND OVERHEAD DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS AND GENERATORS. Directly responsible for power distribution during his 2023 deployment with NMCB 11 which he have direct power to two generators and six air conditioning units which allowed DET MAST to work on SIPR and NIPR for BALTOPS: to train gunnery, replenishment at sea, anti-submarine warfare (ASW), radar tracking & interception, mine countermeasures, seamanship, search and rescue, maritime interdiction operations and scenarios dealing with potential real world crises and maritime security in Germany. By the support of DET MAST we were able to support over two million dollars worth of comms equipment in regions BALTOPS was initiated Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, etc.
Kept up maintenance on two generators and six GETT units /ACUs by changing oil, changing anti freeze, and lubrication.
CE2 Groves took charge of maintaining cleanliness for multiple tent systems while in Sigonella, Italy which led NMCB 11 to get to Baltops easier. Directly supported det mast with the help of four personnel onloading using cargo straps and 15k forklift to secure CESE and offloading over 200,000 lbs worth of A/C units, generators, tools, lighting systems, camo netting, and tents. By doing this it directly supported SIXTH FLEET and Allied forces involving Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, etc.
CE2 Groves was involved in Baltops in upkeeping maintenance and securing SIPR/NIPR equipment for 40 days for 240 hrs. by making sure equipment was functioning properly A/C, GETT, and generators and the right personnel can have access to our exercise and turning away restricted/unauthorized personnel.
CE2 Groves with one military personnel took inventory of all CESE/NON-CESE in DET MAST TOA which made sure we have 100% of what we have and made cleanliness and exercises run a lot more smoothly so whoever takes over for us in DET MAST has a much easier time.
