Muster Petty Officer Awards
Professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as the Muster Petty Officer for 74 personnel within OSU. Working outside his rate, he developed and maintained the OSU Google drive in order to increase communications between all members of OSU and increase unit functionality. He developed an electronic format for reschedule requests resulting in a 40% reduction in the time required for unit leadership to process them. He also revitalized the sponsorship program for OSU, increasing overall operational readiness even as new members checked into the unit. By his exceptional ability, personal initiative and total dedication to duty, Petty Officer Fernandez reflected credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AS MUSTERING PETTY OFFICER, NROWS COORDINATOR, AND RESPAY PETTY OFFICER FOR NAVY CARGO HANDLING BATTALION EIGHT CHARLIE COMPANY FROM MAY 2015 TO MARCH 2018. PETTY OFFICER JASON C. TILLMAN SPENT OVER 100 HOURS OF HIS OFF DUTY TIME COORDINATING AND SUBMITTING AT/ADT/IDTT ORDERS FOR OVER 70 UNIT MEMBERS OVER THE LAST FOUR YEARS. THIS DIRECTLY RESULTED IN OVER 95% OF THE UNIT ATTENDING AN AT FOR FY 2017. ADDITIONALLY, HE ANALYZED AND RESOLVED OVER 50 PAY AND EDM DISCREPANCIES ENSURING MEMBERS WERE PAID IN A TIMELY MANNER. PETTY OFFICER TILLMAN's MANAGERIAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE, AND UNSWERVING DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE ATTACHED TO NAVY RESERVE NAVAL SUPPORT ACTVITY BAHRAIN DETACHMENT HOTEL FROM AUGUST 2014 TO MARCH 2017. AS THE MUSTERING PETTY OFFICER, PETTY OFFICER CLARENCE DEAN'S EFFICIENCY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL RESULTED IN 100% ACCURACY OF MUSTERING REPORTS SUBMITTED AND PROCESSED FOR OVER 40 SAILORS. DURING THIS PERIOD, HE SUPPORTED HIS GAINING COMMAND BY PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE TO OVER 7,800 MILITARY AND CIVILIAN PERSONNEL, INVENTORYING AND TRACKING OVER 40,000 PIECES OF NAVY EQUIPMENT VALUED AT OVER 1.5 MILLION DOLLARS, AND ASSISTING THE HARBOR PATROL UNIT IN PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR 26 HOME-PORT SHIPS AND 89 TENANT COMMANDS. PETTY OFFICER DEAN'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM AND SELFLESS DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
Outstanding meritorious service while serving as unit Mustering Petty Officer, Security Petty Officer, and CFL coordinator. As Mustering Petty Officer, LS1 Davis devoted over 100 hours of personal time to resolve pay issues and PRT issues for over 70 unit members. As the ACFL for another unit of 54 petty officers, he assisted NOSC FT Worth in administering the PRT for 12 reserve units and documenting over 400 records. While on AT in Sigonella, he received Air Cargo training on incoming/outgoing flights, cargo manifest processing, and custom clearance procedures for DOD material in the SIXTH FLEET AOR. In addition, he contributed significantly to the safe and timely delivery of 77 pallets of provisions, general cargo, mail and fresh fruits and vegetables for USNS LEROY GRUMMAN and USNS MEDGAR EVERS during their port visits to NATO pier, Augusta Bay, Sicily. By his exceptional ability, personal initiative and total dedication to duty, Petty Officer Davis reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
