SHE WAS THE FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE AND DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF 214 TENANT COMMANDS, OVER 38,000 PERSONNEL, ASSETS VALUED AT OVER $50 BILLION, AND 17,000 SQUARE FEET OF PROPERTY. PETTY OFFICER NGYEN DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL DEDICATION AND COMMITMENT TO DUTY, SERVING AS PLATOON LEADER FOR BRAVO AND DELTA SECTIONS. HE LED TWO SQUADS OF 87 SECURITY FORCE MEMBERS THROUGH DAILY OPERATIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS, AND AS A DIRECT RESULT OF HIS INTRUSIVE LEADERSHIP, YIELDED 88 COMPLETED PQS'S AND 15,100 HOURS OF INCIDENT FREE COMBINED WATCHSTANDING. IN THIS CAPACITY, PETTY OFFICER VALERIE RESPONDED TO 200 DISPATCHED CALLS, CONDUCTED 120 RAMS, AND ISSUED 89 ARMED FORCES TRAFFIC CITATIONS, WHICH SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCED THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF OVER 22,000 MILITARY AND CIVILIAN PERSONNEL, 13 U.S. NAVAL SHIPS, 4 USNS SUPPORT VESSELS, AND FIVE COAST GUARD CUTTERS WITHIN THE LITTLE CREEK HARBOR.
