PETTY OFFICER COLLINS' DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HER AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN, NAVSCREEN COORDINATOR, AND ASSISTANT SUICIDE PREVENTION FACILITATOR AT NAVAL HEALTH CLINIC CHARLESTON FROM AUGUST 2015 TO SEPTEMBER 2018. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER CHARLES CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HM2 CHARLES WORKED WITH THE NUCLEAR POWER TRAINING COMMAND SENIOR LEADERS TO SUCCESSFULLY ADMINISTER 4,567 MENTAL HEALTH EVALUATIONS TO INCOMING STUDENTS RENDERING THEM ELIGIBLE FOR NUCLEAR FIELD DUTY. WHILE SERVING AT THE DEPARTMENTAL LEADING PETTY OFFICER, PETTY OFFICER CHARLES INITIATED A WEEKLY GROUP MEETING FOR THE SAILORS AT DTP AWAITING TRANSITION ORDERS, EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATING STRESS MANAGEMENT AND REDUCTION SKILLS TO APPROXIMATELY 2000 SAILORS AND IMPROVING THEIR MENTAL HEALTH. PETTY OFFICER CHARLES' DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, PERSEVERANCE, AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

PETTY OFFICER VILLANUEVA CONSISTENTLY DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL INITITIVE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HER DUTIES. DURING HER TENURE, SHE SUPERVISED OVER 160 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES IN THE DAILY PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF OVER 3.5 MILLION MEALS AND MANAGED THE HANDLING OF $12M IN FOOD STORES. AS GOVERNMENT PURCHASE CARD HOLDER, SHE OPERATED A 150K ANNUAL BUDGET OF SUPPLIES AND FOOD CONSUMABLES AS WELL AS AN ADDITIONAL 75K IN NEW FOOD EQUIPMENT. ADDITIONALLY, SHE ESTABLISHED AND DEVELOPED THE NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY'S COMMAND SUICIDE PREVENTION PROGRAM AND TRAINED 19 SUPPORT PERSONNEL TO EXTEND HER TRAINING TO BOTH NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY AND NAVAL NUCLEAR POWER TRAINING COMMAND RESULTING IN OVER 3000 SAILORS BETTER PREPARED FOR LIFE'S CHALLENGES. AS THE COMMAND FITNESS LEADER, CS1 VILLANUEVA LED BOTH AM AND PM WORKOUT SESSIONS AND DEVELOPED A PHYSICAL ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM WHICH LED TO 100% PASSING SCORES. PETTY OFFICER VILLANUEVA'S DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, PERSEVERANCE, AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HER AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER KENT EXPERTLY MANAGED A RELIGIOUS PROGRAM SPANNING EIGHT COMMANDS RESULTING IN RELIGIOUS SUPPORT FOR ALL 1,500 SAILORS WITH MEASURABLE RESULTS. PETTY OFFICER KENT ARRANGED AND FACILITATED FOUR RELIGIOUS LAY LEADER TRAININGS THAT QUALIFIED 13 LAY PERSONNEL WHO LED OR AUGMENTED 49 RELIGIOUS SERVICES ONBOARD FIVE DEPLOYED SUBMARINES. ADDITIONALLY, HE LED THREE SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAININGS, THREE SAFETALK, AND FOUR APPLIED SUICIDE INTERVENTION SKILLS TRAINING (ASIST) COURSES THAT INCREASED AWARENESS OF SUICIDE PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION RESULTING IN ZERO COMPLETED SUICIDES. FURTHER, HE LED FIVE DEPLOYMENT HOME COMING EVENTS FOR OVER 500 SAILORS AND APPROXIMATELY 1,250 FAMILY MEMBERS. PETTY OFFICER KENT'S DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, PERSEVERANCE, AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
