IN AUGUST OF 2023, HE SPENT 12 HOURS OF HIS PERSONAL TIME WORKING TIRELESSLY TO ENSURE THE DELIVERY OF 26 PARTS FOR N6 DEPARTMENT, 25 PARTS FOR CESE DEPARTMENT, AND 44 PARTS FOR WEAPONS DEPARTMENT TO MEET INSURV DEADLINES. HIS EFFORTS RESULTED IN $20,000 IN EQUIPMENT BEING SUPPLIED TO COMPLETE MSRON TEN ALPHA COMPANY'S PREDEPLOYMENT WORK-UPS AND THE UNIT'S SUCCESS IN PASSING INSURV INSPECTION. IN ADDITION, AS WORKCENTER SUPERVISOR, ET2 WEBER OVERSAW 122 MAN HOURS OF MAINTENANCE. FURTHERMORE, ET2 WEBER DELIVERED 75 HOURS OF 3M TRAINING TO THE N6 WORKCENTER RESULTING IN THE QUALIFICATION OF 12 REPAIR PARTS PETTY OFFICERS AND THREE WORKCENTER SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS, ENABLING THE TACTICAL OPERATIONS CENTER TO QUALIFY FOUR TOC WATCH OFFICERS AND FOUR TOC WATCH ASSISTANTS. PETTY OFFICER WEBER'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS CS05 RADAR WORKCENTER SUPERVISOR, USS DEWEY (DDG 105), FROM JUNE 2013 TO AUGUST 2015. PETTY OFFICER MADISON PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE LED SEVEN SAILORS IN THE COMPLETION OF 378 SCHEDULED PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ACTIONS AND 30 CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE ACTIONS THAT SUSTAINED ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OPERABILITY OF SIX COMPLEX RADAR SYSTEMS SIMULTANEOUSLY. ADDITIONALLY, HE AIDED THE EARLY COMPLETION OF THE TACTICAL AIR NAVIGATION UPGRADE, CONTRIBUTING OVER 50 OFF DUTY HOURS TO PERFORM 25 SYSTEM OPERABILITY AND VERIFICATION TESTS (SOVT) AND CRITICAL SYSTEM ALIGNMENTS ON THE NEW SYSTEMS. MOREOVER, HE IDENTIFIED AND CORRECTED 16 FAULTS DISCOVERED DURING THE PRECISION APPROACH RADAR SYSTEM UPGRADE WHICH EXTENDED THE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF THIS CRITICAL RADAR. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER MICHAEL MOORE DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP WHILE TRAINING AND MENTORING OVER 30 NCMS SAILORS. WHILE COORDINATING WITH THE ROYAL NAVY'S DIVING TEAM, SHE ESTABLISHED VHF COMMUNICATIONS FOR OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS DESPITE MINIMAL PREPARATION. SHE ALSO BROUGHT UP AND MAINTAINED VARIOUS DAMA AND SATCOM CHANNELS DESPITE HAVING LIMITED RESOURCES AND NO ADVANCE PLANNING. HER EXPERIENCE AND MOTIVATION ENSURED THAT THE CTG 522.3/523.3 OPERATIONAL CENTER HAD UNINTERRUPTED COMMUNICATION THROUGHOUT THE EXERCISE. IN ADDITION, PETTY OFFICER COLLINS' CONTINUOUS EFFORTS WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE N6 TEAM RECEIVING MULTIPLE BRAVO ZULUS THROUGHOUT THE EXERCISE. PETTY OFFICER COLLINS' PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND UNSWERVING DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

AS A TRUSTED TECHNICIAN, HE WAS REQUESTED BY THE SECURITY DEPARTMENT TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE UNDERCARRIAGE INSPECTION CAMERA SYSTEM'S DATA CABLE AND CONTROL UNIT, SAVING $18,000. Electronics Technician Second Class Texas Ranger is strongly recommended for the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal for his consistent devotion to the unit mission and to his junior troops. As Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 22 Communications Lead Petty Officer (LPO), ET2 Ranger has been instrumental in the reorganization and continuous improvement of NMCB 22 Battalion Communications capabilities and member training.
As the work center supervisor for the Communications 3M Program, his superb performance and dedication facilitated the deployment of the communications workcenter as well as training and integration of junior troops into the program's constituent roles. ET2 Ranger performed extra duty during the periodic 3M inspection process to maximize knowledge transfer and process improvements.
Leading communications training efforts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), ET2 Ranger instructed communications classes for new and existing members during drill weekends and whenever a member required the knowledge necessary to perform their job.
During exercise ULTRA, his dedication to the battalion was apparent in the extensive efforts he made to provide communications field training to battalion personnel thereby improving CPX performance and training effectiveness. As a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare (SCW) member, ET2 Ranger made every effort during instruction to focus on SCW communications and PQS completion when members required it.
ET2 Ranger contributed approximately 40 hours of personal time to the preparation of the Communications Suite and necessary TRANSEC for exercise ULTRA, increasing communications readiness and effectiveness.
As an extremely valuable asset to the battalion, ET2 Texas Ranger demonstrates the integrity and commitment required to lead and the devotion to the growth of subordinates that exemplify a true leader in the United States Navy.
