PETTY OFFICER STONE CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. ACTING QUICKLY, PETTY OFFICER DAVENPORT FIRED HIS SERVICE RIFLE TWICE, SENDING TWO SHOTS TOWARDS THE ASSAILANT AND INCAPACITATING THE ONBOARD ENGINE THUS ALLOWING U.S. COAST GUARD SPECIAL OPS UNITS TO QUICKLY CLOSE IN, BOARD THE ASSAILER'S VESSEL, AND NEUTRALIZE THE THREAT. CHIEF JONES CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. INSTRUMENTAL IN STANDING UP AN INDEPENDENT CSCSU MORALE WELFARE AND RECREATION PROGRAM, HIS EFFORTS RESULTED IN RAISING $59,000 FOR RECREATINOAL ACTIVITIES TO BE ENJOYED BY ALL CSCSU PERSONNEL. DURING THE USS MISSISSIPPI'S (SSN-782) COMMISSIONING CEREMONY, PETTY OFFICER STOLTZ PERFORMED HIS DUTIES AS 40MM SALUTING BATTERY MOUNT CAPTAIN FLAWLESSLY. HIS ATTENTION TO DETAIL REFLECTED HIMSELF AND NAS PENSACOLA AS WE CONDUCTED FLAWLESS FIRING SALUTES FOR THE CNO, SECNAV, AND ASSISTANT SECNAV. GM2 STOLTZ S ACTION S REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.







GM2 (EXW) Weinstein is strongly recommended for a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for performance of her duties as Reaction Force Team Leader and Armorer at Coastal Riverine Group One Detachment Guam from April 2013- April 2016. An outstanding leader she consistently displayed commitment, devotion, and technical knowledge far beyond what is expected of a Second Class Petty Officer. She confidently carried out her duties in a decisive and positive manner achieving exceptional results and consistently set high combat readiness standards. While maintaining an outstanding record of effective leadership, productivity and hard work making an immense impact on CRG-1 Detachment Guam.

Specific accomplishments:

-MISSION ORIENTED. GM2 Weinstein deployed 189 days as Reaction Force Team Leader in USNS HENSON, USNS OBSERVATION ISLAND, and USNS EFFECTIVE providing 360 degree point defense security in the highly contested waters of the East and South China Seas with zero incidents. In addition, she was hand selected to revamp 163 individual training jackets streamlining the time spent verifying Sailors qualifications. Her efforts led to a 6% increase in mission readiness and contributed to the Training Department s 2015 Coastal Riverine Administration Training Evaluation (CRATE) score of 100%. GM2 also dedicated 5 off duty days to make sure teams were qualified to deploy. A recognized expert in her rate she performed 700 maintenance actions ensuring weapons were ready for deployment at a moment s notice, conducted four serialized inventories and eight weapons inventories ensuring the Weapon s Department mission readiness. GM2 conducted weapons fundamental and safety training to 150 Sailors and line coached 38 CAT II ranges qualifying 200 Sailors increasing the Detachment s mission readiness by 50%.

-TEAM PLAYER. Hand selected to support the relocation to the Detachment s new Head Quarters building she led, organized, and executed working parties for a smooth transition into the new facilities. In addition, as Expeditionary Warfare Specialist Cadre (EXW) she ensured medical, weapons, and expeditionary fundamentals training was provided for 153 Sailors which led to 37 Sailors attaining their EXW qualifications. The efforts of her and the other EXW Cadre led to the EXW Program receiving a score of 100% on the 2015 CRATE inspection. Always willing to go the extra mile she conducted 14 weapons escorts for deploying Security Teams on her off time.

-SUPERB MENTOR. Strives to push her Sailors both professionally and personally Petty officer Weinstein provided in rate training and mentorship totaling 99 hours to five junior Sailors enhancing their knowledge on the weapon systems and related maintenance; improving watch standard effectiveness. Under her tutelage two Sailors advanced on the September 2015 advancement exam. As a command sponsor she ensured the smooth transition of three junior Sailors into their first command, assisting with housing, qualifications and transportation needs. Always setting the example for junior Sailors GM2 Weinstein completed four Navy COOL certification in Homeland Security and Disaster Preparedness in addition, completing nine credit hours with the University of Maryland University College.

-NAVAL AMBASSADOR. Volunteered 200 hours to Harvest House a shelter that provides assistance to Guam s Foster children and battered woman she collected clothing and furniture from military members so that these women and children could have a new beginning. In addition, she dedicated 71 hours with special needs children on gross and fine motor exercises using skills she learned as a civilian working with special needs children. Petty Officer Weinstein provided 28 hours of weapons safety training for 84 Boy Scouts of America allowing them to earn their Rifle Marksmanship Merit Badges. Her efforts greatly enhanced relations between the US Navy and the local community.

GM2 (EXW) Weinstein exhibits impeccable military demeanor and superb mission focus; she is the epitome of the US Navy Sailor. Her leadership, commitment to mission execution, and dedication to her Sailors is evident to all. The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal is highly recommended for her superior service to CRG-1 Det Guam, CRG-1, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, and Commander, SEVENTH Fleet.
