IN ADDITION, SHE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FLAWLESS TURN-IN OF OVER 8,000 ITEMS TO DRMO, SAVING THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE MORE THAN THREE MILLION DOLLARS. FINALLY, AS THE FACILITIES MANAGER, SERGEANT WILLIAMS TRACKED AND OVERSAW THE REPAIR OR COMPLETION OF 123 REQUESTS VALUED AT MORE THAN TWO MILLION DOLLARS. BY HER EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY, SERGEANT WILLIAMS REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS AND UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS WAREHOUSE LOGISTICIAN AT FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE DETACHMENT NEW ORLEANS FROM OCTOBER 2009 TO MARCH 2013. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER HEIDI A. SIMPSON PERFORMED HER DEMANDING DUTIES AND EXPANDED HER PROFESSIONAL TALENT IN AN EXEMPLARY MANNER. IN THIS IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENT, SHE MANAGED THE RECEIPT, STOWAGE, AND ISSUE OF 23,432 LINE ITEMS VALUED AT MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS IN SUPPORT OF A VARIETY OF OPERATIONAL NAVAL UNITS AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES. DURING THIS PERIOD, CHIEF PETTY OFFICER DARREL PETERSEN PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. WHILE DEPLOYED TO U.S. EUROPEAN COMMAND, HIS LEADERSHIP AND KEEN ATTENTION TO DETAIL ENSURED THE FLAWLESS MANAGEMENT OF 2,500 LINE ITEMS OF THE BATTALION TABLE OF ALLOWANCE, WORTH MORE THAN THREE MILLION DOLLARS. HE LED A TEAM OF FOUR LOGISTICIANS IN EFFECTIVE SUPPLY OPERATIONS, RESULTING IN A FIFTY PERCENT INCREASE IN REPAIR PARTS INVENTORY VALIDITY AND AN OPERATIONAL READINESS INSPECTION SCORE OF 100 PERCENT. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DEPLOYED TO U.S. PACIFIC COMMAND, HE ASSISTED NMCB ONE THREE THREE IN GUAM WITH THE MANAGEMENT OF THEIR OPERATING TARGET BUDGET AND PROCESSED 300 STOCK REQUISITIONS WORTH SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. DURING THIS PERIOD, LS2 EDWARD HAGENOW MANAGED THE CUSTODY AND INVENTORY OF OVER 12,000 LINE ITEMS VALUED AT MORE THAN FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. HIS MANAGERIAL EXPERTISE FACILITATED THE EXPEDITED RECEIPT, ISSUANCE, STOWAGE, AND PROCESSING OF 325 LINE ITEMS FOR ALFA COMPANY AND SIX DETACHMENT SITES. AS THE WAREHOUSE MANAGER, LSC CARTER PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE METICULOUSLY COMPLETED A ONE HUNDRED PERCENT INVENTORY, CONDUCTED THE RELOCATION OF 61 NATIONAL STOCK NUMBERS (NSN) IN THE RSUPPLY APPLICATION, SIX LAPS, AND TWO MONTHLY SCHEDULED INVENTORIES, RAISING THE OVERALL LOCATION ACCURACY TO OVER NINETY SEVEN PERCENT. IN ADDITION, HE PROCESSED TWO OTHER SUPPLY ORGANIZATION (OSO) TRANSFERS AND RECEIVED 120 INCOMING STOCK AND DTO MATERIAL WHICH DIRECTLY IMPROVED COASTAL RIVERINE SQUADRON (CRS) 8 AND CRS 11'S OVERALL READINESS. FINALLY, LSC CARTER RESEARCHED AND PROCESSED OVER 60 SUSPENDED REQUISITIONS WITH A NET VALUE OF TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS IN SUPPORT OF CRS 8 AND CRS 11. CHIEF PETTY OFFICER CARTER'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE AND TOTAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
