Hydraulic Contamination Control Program


Qualified in Tire and Wheel and Hydraulic Contamination and assisted in the completion 87 maintenance actions, totaling 336.5 man-hours. Conducted regular sampling of hydraulic fluids and ensured correct type was used and ensured particulate level was within Navy Standard Class 5 standards. Monitored hydraulic fluid flow rate on all systems and maintained pressure within tolerance preventing impairment of hydraulic systems. Followed standing OI procedures IAW OPNAVINST 4790.2 to prevent contamination while maintaining equipment.




Led 35 Sailors across 5 workcenters through multiple underways following the shipyard period and a 9-month deployment in completing over 1,000 maintenance actions on aircraft parts across 6 platforms and periodic maintenance actions on 235 pieces of gear within all shops. His meticulous work ethic was vital to the success of the command's Hydraulic Contamination Program, having identified 13 discrepancies resulting in an on track program for the upcoming Aviation Maintenance Inspection.




As Hanger Bay Coordinator, led the maintenance evolutions of 150 personnel through 23 Phase and 213 Special Inspections, decreasing maintenance back log by 15% and returning aircraft to FMC status ahead of schedule. Program manager for Corrosion Prevention/Control Program, Hazmat Program, Tire and Wheel Program, and Hydraulic Contamination Program.
