Medical Records Clerk Evals


Answered 145 phone calls, pointing patients to the correct department they needed and instructing them on proper policies and protocols for obtaining copies of medical records. Provided 210 patients with disk copies of medical records to use for VA claims/ personal use. Returned hardcopy medical records for their return to individuals place of record i.e IPAC. Assisted 223 patients with filling out records requests and processed to the correct personnel.




Medical Records Manager. Fostered a professional healthcare environment and led two Sailors in the accountability and maintenance of 4,235 medical records for NSA Bahrain and 145 tenant commands; adhered to HIPAA policy and procedures. Completed 4,409 medical record scan-ins, 1,675 Overseas Suitability Screening package uploads, 3,251 electronic medical record requests, and mailed out 200 medical records to service members' gaining commands. Single handedly decreased the overall turnaround time for electronic record requests, record mail outs, medical document scan ins, and OSS package uploads from one month to same day service. Ensured the completion of required monthly training for all staff, which resulted in 100% compliance rate and enrolled 176 staff members in required training in support of the MHS GENESIS system roll out.




Developed and delivered a Genesis training PowerPoint that significantly improved the effectiveness of five Corpsmen in the following areas: registering patients to clinic based on location, streamlining the process of scanning medical records into genesis profiles, ordering the correct type of labs based on what labs are needed, properly completing an intake per the Universal Protocol SOP, and scheduling patients according to location. His work has had a significant impact on the effectiveness for 1st Battalion, 23D Marines and NRC Corpus Christi Medical.




Performed flawlessly in her responsibility as an H&S Corpsman. Assisted in the verification of 213 medical records and the transfer of 738 records into the PRT system in preparation for the units Commanding General Readiness Inspection. Primarily responsible for medical readiness for 20 S-1 Marines. Completed and updated over 100 immunizations, 70 lab procedures and 50 physical health assessments resulting in H&S maintaining above 90% medical readiness. As dental liaison, she scheduled 45 dental appointments and coordinated 2 dental blocks resulting in an overall dental readiness of 96% for the battalion.




As the Work Center Supervisor, supervised five Sailors in the daily operation of Medical Records and Overseas Suitability Screening Section. Ensured that 2,798 Medical documents and 2,936 Inbound & Outbound Overseas screenings (OSS) were properly processed, tracked, and stored. As an Inquiry Coordinator, she worked with two senior medical officers, 11 medical providers, and two nurses to review, coordinate, book, and complete 702 overseas suitability inquiries. Determined if active duty members and their beneficiaries met the minimal medical requirements to transfer to COMFTHFLT AOR. As a MED-IG BARRACKS INSPECTOR, she conducted 333 command barracks inspections for 37 service members, ensuring a 100% compliance rate with NSA Bahrain Unaccompanied housing regulations.
