NMCB 27 MOB 1 Site Zero Camp Maintenance Lead Utilities Technician from 12 April 23 to 15 September 23. As Lead Camp Maintenance Utilities Technician, UT2 Russo conducted and completed over 60 workorder requests pertaining to facility maintenance. He quickly responded to an emergency service request where the camp's pumphouse and sewage system was compromised with debris and sediment. He professionally escorted US Air Force personnel on camp with heavy equipment and ultimately restored the lift-station back to full operation. Further tasks ranged from carpentry to routine plumbing work. He replaced over 2,000 feet of sniper screening around Camp Morrell, greatly improving force protection of the camp. He assisted in building 10 pieces of shoring, in support of army logistics and shipping out 20 vehicles from MOB Site Zero. He repaired the main sewer line for the wet berthing area housing civilian contractors and officers. Additionally, UT2 augmented the Project Build Team by installing over 300 linear feet of water and 4" main sewer lines, eight showers and toilet lines, a 3" vent pipe spanning the length of the building, and built 652 linear feet of wood forms for the $520K Wet Berthing Projects. As Chalk Commander, UT2 transported 153 personnel to and from multiple camp locations safely. His superb performance, unwavering commitment, and tenacious work ethic resulted in his recognition as the NMCB TWENTY-SEVEN Junior Sailor of the Quarter.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS WATER TREATMENT PLANT LEADING PETTY OFFICER AND FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT NAPLES, ITALY FROM SEPTEMBER 2021 TO FEBRUARY 2023. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER DUNCAN PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. UTC POSCH'S COMMITMENT TO TRAINING EXCELLENCE WAS VITAL AS HE DIRECTED 14 INSTRUCTORS THROUGH SEVEN BATTALION FIELD EXERCISES. HIS METICULOUS FEEDBACK, TRAINING AND EVALUATIONS PROVED CRUCIAL TO BATTALION DEVELOPMENT AND SUCCESS IN THE FIELD. Served as the lead UT for the Great Escape Project at MCAS Miramar. The project encompassed 117 man days, 41 duration days, and was valued at $41,000. Soldered 70 LF of copper pipe underground. Upon completion, the water line passed pressure test conducted by NAVFAC on first try. As a crew member, I helped in the placement of 3 (40 x 20) concrete slabs utilizing 25 cubic yards of concrete. Collectively, our crew installed 450 masonry unit blocks for patio seating. Moreover, I ran a gas line to our BBQ and fire pit. We also placed a drain alongside the patio. As a result of our work, we were recognized by the base CO and a tree on site was named after us, the Seabee Tree.

PETTY OFFICER SEAY'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
