Petty Officer Edwards demonstrated exceptional professionalism and expertise as a C4I Technician at NR CNFK HQ from January to September 2024. She provided outstanding support to 87 members during Operations Freedom Shield (FS) 24 and Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS) 24. Edwards dedicated over 250 hours to reviewing SAAR packages, requesting corrections, submitting account requests, and maintaining readiness trackers, significantly enhancing command awareness. She expertly guided all 87 members through proper SAAR procedures and single-handedly submitted 54 Mission Partner Environment (MPE) accounts, 88 CENTRIXS-K accounts, and six ONE-NET accounts, achieving 95% readiness on day one of each exercise. During UFS 24, she provided critical help-desk support, networking, and video teleconferencing management in the LRC Port Hueneme, California, ensuring uninterrupted communications for all local users.




Member of the first Cyber Tactical Team (CTT) for one (1) OCONUS Intelligence Driven Defensive Cyber Operation (DCO) mission within EUCOM/AFRICOM AOR and subsequent CONUS DCO Intelligence Driven Hunt Mission. Uncovered adversary pivot points that confirmed identification of threat actor connecting to the CNIC network utilizing compromised credentials resulting in 29 root-level compromises and exposing crypto-mining malware over the OCONUS MWR network by parsing over 35TB of traffic with intelligence provided by NCDOC.

Participated in CTN training and readiness working group which drove the revision of 5 work roles, creation of 407 qualification line items, and established Basic, Senior, and Master proficiency standards impacting 2,000+ CTN sailors.

Nominated by leadership as SME for the Computer Network Operations (CNO) Cryptologic Training Advisory Group (CTAG), the Agency's process for updating training standards based on mission requirements which directly affect the Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC) and shape the CTN rating.

Participated in two (2) Proactive Defensive Cyber Operations (PDCO) within the 6th Fleet Operations to include a trial of a Deployable Mission Support System (DMSS) on a standalone laptop.




FOR OUTSTANDING MERITORIOUS SERVICE AS MASTER CHIEF, NAVY INFORMATION OPERATIONS COMMAND HAWAII FROM SEPTEMBER 2012 TO OCTOBER 2014. MASTER CHIEF XXXXXXXXXX'S LEADERSHIP AND MISSION KNOWLEDGE WERE AN INDISPENSABLE FACTOR IN THE OPERATION AND SUCCESS OF TASK FORCE 1070. HIS EFFORTS TO REALIGN THE COMMAND'S STRATEGIC GOALS AND OPERATIONAL STRUCTURE SET THE STANDARD FOR OPERATIONALIZING SIGNALS INTELLIGENCE AND CYBER OPERATIONS ACROSS THE ENTIRE U.S. TENTH FLEET ENTERPRISE. HIS HIGHLY EFFECTIVE CYBER INITIATIVES LED TO THE MITIGATION OF CRITICAL COMPUTER VULNERABILITIES IN PROGRAMS OF RECORD BY 80 PERCENT AND REDUCED MANPOWER AND RESOURCES REQUIRED TO MONITOR AND DEFEND AGAINST ADVERSARIAL ACTORS. IN ADDITION, HIS ANALYSIS AND COOPERATION WITH OTHER AGENCIES OPTIMIZED THE PACIFIC SENSOR GRID WHILE AGGRESSIVELY EMPLOYING REMOTE OPERATIONS IN SUPPORT OF NAVY UNIFIED CRYPTOLOGIC OPERATIONS. FURTHER, HE MAXIMIZED THE USE OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND METICULOUSLY AND INCREMENTALLY DECREASED THE OPERATIONAL EXPENSE OF NAVY CYBER FORCES' FIRST UNIT LEVEL TRAINING READINESS ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATION WHICH SET THE STANDARD WITHIN THE INFORMATION DOMINANCE COMMUNITY. BY HIS EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY, MASTER CHIEF XXXXXXX REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER IN CHARGE, JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, COMMUNICAITONS DIRECTORATE, FROM APRIL 2010 TO AUGUST 2013. SENIOR CHIEF XXXXXXX DISPLAYED EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP WHILE DIRECTING ALL ASPECTS OF TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES AS ANACOSTIA NAVAL STATION AND BOLLING AIR FORCE BASE MERGED TO BECOME THE NATION'S PREMIER JOINT BASE. SENIOR CHIEF XXXXXXX VALIDATED OWNERSHIP OF 5,000 TELEPHONE LINES AND CIRCUITS TO ENSURE ACCURATE BILLING WHICH SAVED THE NAVY OVER $500,000 ANNUALLY. HE EXPERTLY ADMINISTERED AND CLOSELY MONITORED THE COMMUNICATION INSTALLATIONS FOR AFDW NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION RELOCATION GROUP. HIS KEEN OVERSIGHT CONTRIBUTED TO THE SAVINGS OF TEN MILLION DOLLARS BY MEETING CRUCIAL TIMELINES. IN ADDITION, HE DEVELOPED EXTENSIVE BASE OPERATING PROCEDURES TO FACILITATE THE TELECOMMUNICATION NEEDS OF 6,000 PERSONNEL AND 7 TENANT UNITS, CREATED A TELEPHONE CONTROL OFFICER PROGRAM TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, AND DEVELOPED A WORK ORDER TRACKING DATABASE TO ENSURE CONTINUOUS AND RELIABLE COMMUNICATIONS. IN THIS IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENT, LIEUTENANT DAN LED 120 SERVICE MEMBERS AND CIVILIANS IN THE PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF CYBERSPACE OPERATIONS IN SUPPORT OF UNITED STATES CENTRAL COMMAND, JOINT FORCE HEADQUARTERS-CYBER AND JOINT TASK FORCE-ARES OPERATIONAL PRIORITIES AND NATIONAL STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES. LIEUTENANT DAN NAVIGATED COMPLEX AUTHORITIES FOR CYBERSPACE OPERATIONS TO ENSURE NATIONAL AND ARMY OVERSIGHT REQUIREMENTS WERE MET. HE OVERSAW THE EMPLOYMENT OF FIRING TEAMS CONDUCTING OVER 150 CYBERSPACE OPERATIONS DIRECTLY SUPPORTING COMBAT ACTION IN THE UNITED STATES CENTRAL COMMAND AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY. HIS SUPERIOR LEADERSHIP AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN CONSTRUCTING AND DELIVERING A FULLY OPERATIONAL CYBER COMBAT MISSION TEAM TO THE UNITED STATES CYBER COMMAND, DEMONSTRATING CREDIBLE CYBER WARFIGHTER CAPABILITY TO THEATER COMMANDERS AND DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTING TO HIS SAILORS' UNPARALLELED OPERATIONAL SUCCESSES.
